The George Hotel ★★★
"That it was in the centre of town, room was clean and spacious, food was great "
North Lakes Hotel and Spa ★★★★
"It happened to be a wedding when I went there. The lobby was full of enthusiastic and cheerful foreigners. There was a dog on duty at the front desk, and it was very well behaved. If you bring children, you need to pay an additional 30 yuan per dog. This, uh... it would be good without this fee. The free buffet breakfast on the second day was good. After ordering coffee, the waiter brought it. There was self-service milk and drinking water in the corridor. Parking is free, and the parking lot is quite large. Basically, you don’t have to worry about having no place, because even if the wedding was full of people the day before, there are still a few parking spaces. Although it is gloomy, rainy, windy and snowy every day in the UK, we saw the long-lost starry sky here."
Norcroft Guest House Vegetarian B&B. ★★★
"Can’t ask for better hosts who go out of their way to accommodate your needs. Super friendly and kind. The room is lovely and has all you need, really clean and spacious. Bonus with a lovely selection of breakfast provided at a time that suits you and an electric car charger if you need it. Thank you Mark and Paula for being so inviting and making our stay comfortable me and easy 🙂"
Foundry 34 ★★★
The Ullswater Inn- the Inn Collection Group ★★★★
"not bad place to stay for 1 night. the location is good, despite our room is near street and elevator, bit noisy"
Shap Wells Hotel ★★★
"Wouldn’t stay here again. There was one person running the place - at the bar, dinner and breakfast. If he wasn’t there, the place would crash. It was all a bit of a comedy show!"
Albany House ★★★★
"Myself and son had an amazing 3 night stay. Room spotless, shower fantastic, Breakfast lots of variety and super tasty 5 star thanks chef!. Susan very attentive and the brownies, coffee/tea in rooms replenished daily, nothing too much trouble. You have an amazing Guest House and it certainly shows how much work you put into your business, certainly a home from home. Thankyou a treasured memory."
Travelodge Penrith ★★★
"Helpful staff and clean room , Ken and Jasmin were very friendly as I’d arrived at 1 am after work"
Agricultural Inn ★★★
"Love places with friendly staff and really good breakfast. We definitely will back soon. Thank you 😊"

"This is a really good quality hotel, excellent staff. We were given a free upgrade to an Apartment. Excellent breakfast."
Glendale Guest House
"Top notch B&B - stayed there in June 2023 as part of a group cycling the C2C route. I recall that we had 3 twin rooms and 2 singles. All very comfortable and quite spacious. My twin was good and the en-suite shower was particularly appreciated after a hard day's cycling from Workington. Great breakfast in a very elegant front room with high ceilings and a very large bay window. Also the Glendale has a secure bike shed at the back, which took all 8 of our bikes. Good location for food and drink in the centre of Penrith - 5 minutes walk away. I don't normally eat pizza, but I must say that Villa Bianca makes some of the best one's in the area."
Abbey House B & B
"Host Vickie of Abbey House B&B definitely made our first trip to Penrith a truly memorable experience. She was prompt with our pre-arrival queries. We love our suite with the "Thoughtful Drawer", bathrobes and delicious breakfast spread. Bonus is also its convenient location to train and bus stations for day trip to Lake District as well as walking distance to village squares with quaint local-owned artisanal shops, markets, and diners. We wish we could have stayed longer than 2 nights. Thanks Vickie! ❤️"

The Crown Inn Pooley Bridge
Brooklands Guest House
"I booked here because the Premier Inn was way over priced. This Guest House is an absolute gem - a real find. Beautiful room, quiet location and a wonderful welcome on arrival by Sue and her two Shiitzu dogs! Made to feel welcome from walking through the door until I left - my room (Grassmere) was beautifully presented. Such a comfy bed and the shower was nice and hot. The room was quiet and just the right temperature too. A bonus was a small fridge with some water which was just the ticket and ideal if you have any small items to keep cool. Breakfast was excellent - I opted for the full English which was just the right amount. There was also an excellent continental selection if that is more your thing in the morning. Overall excellent from start to finish!"
The Kings Arms Temple Sowerby
"Had a lovely stay, rooms were immaculate and nicely decorated, amenities were spot on. The restaurant/bar is lovely, good selection of drinks and excellent food. The breakfast was also lush. The staff throughout were very friendly and welcoming. I'd definitely stay here again if visiting the area"
The White House Guest House
"This guest house is lovely. It is immaculate and the beds are comfortable. The linens are of high quality. We stayed in a family room where our daughters were happy to have their own beds. The breakfast was over-the-top fantastic! This place is a gem of a place to stay in Cumbria!"
