the staff were great in assisting me with a room allocation and help getting in . the place was spotless and realy well ventilated . the bed was great with good quality pillows . we will be returning in september for another 3 days and again next easter

Excellent parking is available immediately outside the door to the hotel. For various reasons visit was my first this year. On my arrival Kelly was on duty in Reception. As ever, Kelly was friendly, she remembered my name, she was totally efficient and very welcoming. Layla was also at Reception. She is the most accomplished ambassador for Travelogue and after my absence from Merthyr Tydfil for several months Layla made me feel instantly at home. Layla and Kelly, as front-of-house, are superb.

I needed a document printing for work which I received at the last minute and Sophie was more than happy to help and print it for me. A male (can’t recall name - sorry) delivered it to my room too. Very happy with the service and will stay again when in the area. Thank you :)

Fire alarm went off at 4.30am, a fire evacuation was complete. Not one member of staff in site to direct customers what was going on. Re-entered the building not knowing what was happening after being stood outside for over 20 minutes in the cold. This morning when speaking to the receptionist she was so rude, after asking where the staff were and why there was no direction as to what was happening. Also ordered breakfast boxes and were told there were non as they hadn't been delivered with it being easter?Easter was four days ago.

Not much parking available in front of the hotel, but luckily there is a substantial parking area, but a short distance away. But otherwise the hotel was clean, comfortable and friendly.

Good hotel to stay in but don’t expect to sleep in as the cleaners play loud music and there is not a lot of parking outside.

I stayed here as a stopover after returning from a few days' stay in Devon with a friend. It was a comfortable stay and would stay there again.

Warm freindly welcome from Kelly, quiet clean room, shower brilliant , all soap dispensers full. Stayed here a few times and I think Merthyr staff have to be the best of all the Travel Lodge staff. Dont touch Bridgend very unfreindly
