Lovely old hotel, still a lovely place but, sadly, showing it's age in some minor areas (aren't we all!).
Excellent, helpful and attentive Staff.
Good selection of food, well presented and very enjoyable.
We stayed for one night, on two occasions, and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Many thanks to the Management and Staff.

Breakfast was surprisingly large portions, good cooked quality. Cold buffet was limited. Service was a bit slow. Bed was very comfy. Good to have a window that opened and a fan in the bedroom. Had dinner in the restaurant first night and the chicken was delicious. TV channels in the room were limited depending on the weather. Good option for Penzance as a base then use the bus to get around.

Classic English hotel, my room was recently updated and clean; strange not to have daily cleaning service.
Small Single room with sea view was expected and very cosy. Appreciate the soft, thick new carpet. Also the single armchair was well used to enjoy sitting by window for the view.
Bathroom was brand new, modern and didn’t blend into environment which is a shame. The water from shower was either too hot or cold; also the shower head could not be fixed into the rail so needed holding up.
Restaurant meal was very nice, service was especially friendly and attentive.
I would stay again in the near future but remind other guests considering that this is a 3 star hotel so you should appreciate that this is meeting the expectations of this grading.
Overall daily service at hotel reception was well appreciated and always greeted when passing . Well done and thank you to the hotel staff!

A very cozy old hotel, about 20 minutes walk from Penzance Station, but there is no way there is no closer hotel. It is suitable as a transit point. The concept of vacation for foreigners is very different from that of Chinese people.
