The hotel is located next to the station, very convenient! It only takes 1 minute to walk from the station to the hotel. The room is clean and tidy, the bathroom is bright and bright, and the stay is very comfortable.

First of all, the waiter was very enthusiastic when checking in. Check-in at 15:00 can be advanced to 11:00. The room is about 20 square meters, the window faces the sea, and it is very good to watch the sea view and sunrise. The transportation is also very convenient. In short, it is worth the price.

Location of this is very good -next to the train station and opposite the bus station for travel to St Ives and other areas of interest. Initially the room presented as clean but on closer inspection - the toilets in both rooms had not been deep cleaned in a while and the toilet seats were stained yellow underneath - whether this was discoloration from products - I don't know. I spoke to the staff who sent a cleaner up and they offered to clean it. I said no and requested some cleaning products to do it myself as I could not trust they would do a thorough job. There was fecal matter under the rim of both loos, which meant they were not regularly cleaning there with bleach. The excuse given was that they can only clean with the products they are given - and this was not bleach. I understand that certain areas may not need bleach but a high use bathroom certainly does. There was also yellow scum around the plug hole of the sink. The cleaner advised they use tooth brushes to clean the sinks but I did not believe this. I disinfected the sink and within 2 minutes with light pressure - it was clean. I wasn't impressed with the excuses. I ended up buying bleach and disinfecting both loos myself. In the evening, we dined in the Thyme restaurant which was a dismal experience. The drinks arrived after the food, my starter arrived after the main. My fellow guest ordered a house salad and was given a side salad and the fries ordered were cold. The bread with the prawn cocktail was from a standard pre cut loaf and was dry. The sauce for the prawn cocktail was watery and no seasoning of paprika or cayenne. When I asked for freshly ground pepper they advised they don't offer this. I had the house salad with chicken. When the chicken came out, it did not look as if it was freshly grilled. When I asked, they said it was frozen char grilled breast of chicken. This is really basic hospitality and I would expect Premier Inn to do much better - sadly.

Very comfortable & clean room, friendly staff & good food. Good value for money and in a great position - ideal for the bus or train station. Would recommend to others. The only issues we had were a non-working soap dispenser in the shower, and a slow-to-drain bathroom sink. Otherwise all good.

We used this location as a base for walking St Ives to Marazion on the South West Coast Path. The location on the edge of the Penzance harbour is great with huge car park in front of the hotel plus railway station with direct connection to Paddington AND the local bus station hub, to reach in less than 1 mile all start stop locations on the SWCP. Great rooms, always good breakfast and dinner on premises. Highly recommended to walkers.

Perfect location if travelling to Penzance-across the road from bus and train station, also car park(payable) very close. Charming staff, good food and drink. Rooms need more storage but otherwise an excellent stay and great base for seeing the area
