Hotels near Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens in Penzance

I decided to stay at The Longboat due to the price and the location, and my preference to give money to local businesses rather than big chains. It's two mins from the train station, based at the bottom of the main street in Penzance, and within easy stomping distance of the harbour, promenade, local pubs, cafes, shops, and my family's homes. The staff were very welcoming when I turned up and gave clear instructions re the room, keys, and booking breakfast. They provided an iron and ironing board on request. They were also friendly and helpful when I raised some issues (below). I first stayed in the Cape Cornwall room (14), but had some issues there (a broken sash window letting breeze in, a leaking shower, and a dodgy hot water tap). The staff offered to move me immediately, but as I'd been travelling for 10 hours, and my first two days were jampacked with pre-funeral events, and a funeral, I didn't have the time or energy to move on days one or two. Once the funeral was behind me, I moved on day three, for the final night, to room 18 (Lands End, maybe?) which was much more pleasant and I experienced no issues. In both rooms, the beds and linen were comfortable, the TVs worked fine, there was lots of wardrobe space, the room temperature was good, and everything was clean. It would be nice if the hotel put a bottle of still water in the room, in addition to the tea and coffee, every day so you don't have to rely on the bathroom tap - I went out and bought my own. I didn't eat whilst here as I spent the whole time with family. I had breakfast at Sullivans Diner on my final morning, which was fab. In summary, The Longboat was fine to stay in for a few nights, as an affordable option, and as a solo traveller. If I was going to return and wanted to stay for longer, or to stay somewhere that felt more like a treat, I'd probably stay elsewhere.

1. The hotel is on a small slope on the edge of Penzance City. It takes only 20 minutes to walk to the city center. In fact, it is very convenient for travel. It is also very close to Penzance Railway Station and the port. It takes 15 minutes to drive to see Mount Saint Michel. 2. The hotel provides a lot of snacks, the sea view room has an excellent view and is worth recommending. If you want hot food for breakfast, you need to charge a little extra, and the quality of other meals is also good. 3. If you come by car, you need to call the hotel to book a parking space, about 4.5 pounds a day parking fee. 4. The hotel's cancellation policy is to cancel 14 days in advance. 5. The corridor of the hotel is relatively narrow and there is no elevator, and it may not be convenient to have too much luggage.

When you stay at YHA Penzance - Hostel in Penzance, you'll be near the beach, within a 15-minute drive of St. Michael's Mount and Minack Theatre. We had three nights here in preparation for a coastal walk. The hotel has an air of faded grandeur about it, mixed with a whiff of 1970s council offices, but the staff try hard to make the stay memorable. Our room was at the back of the hotel, so rather than a sea view, we had a good view of the neighbourhood cats. It was comfortable enough, however, and clean. Breakfast was very good and set us up well for our days of walking. A sea view would make the stay better, but you could do a lot worse. The location, however, cannot be faulted.

Me and my partner Jenna got married here then stayed the night and it was a fantastic day/experience. We had around 60 guests with more coming in the evening and everything went perfectly no thanks to Harriet and the main man Stefan ! Im not sure if these guys work every wedding but you need to ask for them as they were brilliant. Always had a drink in our hands, guiding us from here to there making sure we were on time, and anything we needed we just had to ask and 30 seconds later it was done. They really helped make our day special. The hotel itself was also great, really well looked after grounds against a stunning backdrop of St Ives, and very tidy inside. We have absolutely no complaints at all with the hotel or staff, if we were to get married again, we would pick Tregenna in a heartbeat. Also a special thank you to the security man on the gate, great guy and he drove my disabled mum around in a golf buggy all day and made her feel like the queen.

Five-star recommendation, super location, invincible sea view, breakfast included, mainly the scenery is very good, just next to the train station, there is a small road into the restaurant, the bar and the bar are sea views, there is a large terrace outside, sitting can drink Afternoon tea, sit at the bar and drink at night, watching the seascape outside. The room I booked was small, but it was not bad. It also provided slippers and bathrobes, bath towels, etc. It was very convenient to go down to the beach for a few minutes. It was the most recommended hotel next to the beach, and it was relatively new.

The room design is very special and the accommodation is very comfortable. The attic room is hot during the day when it is sunny. The hotel does not include breakfast, but there is a restaurant downstairs, which tastes very good. There are some specialty shops near the hotel, which are worth visiting. Most of Penzance's accommodations are on the hillside, not far from the hotel from the train station, but it is tiring to climb the slope with luggage. To all major attractions is to take a car from the railway station. There are several Chinese restaurants on the market steet, which taste pretty good.

With a stay at Uno - St Ives in St Ives, you'll be within a 10-minute walk of Porthminster Beach and St Ives Harbour. This guesthouse is 1 mi (1.6 km) from Porthmeor Beach and 1.3 mi (2.1 km) from Tate St. Ives.Free self parking is available onsite.Make yourself at home in one of the 3 individually decorated guestrooms. We stayed at Torwood House for 5 nights in September 2020. Our room was huge & had everything we could wish for - kettle & hot drinks facilities, lovely shower with ample hot water, comfy bed & convenient location to walk to restaurants and along the bay. Perfect if you are heading off to the Isles of Scilly as we did. Our family of grown up kids joined us for two nights and they also stayed in a large room. Steve cooked delicious breakfasts and nothing was too much trouble for Lynda. As we had to depart really early for the ferry to St Mary's, Lynda kindly supplied us with a packed breakfast to eat on the ferry. Many thanks to both of you for a fantastic stay.
