I recently stayed at the E Hotel in Larnaca, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing from start to finish.
Upon arrival, I was charged €25 for what was only a 5-minute drive from the airport, which immediately felt unreasonable. Sadly, things didn’t improve once I reached the hotel. The room was not up to standard — there was visible dust, broken tiles in the bathroom, and even ants on the floor. To make matters worse, the toilet flush was faulty and broke down every day during my stay.
There was also a serious issue with my booking. A double booking had been made, and despite raising this with reception, they were unwilling to help, saying it was not their responsibility. There was a clear lack of care and interest from the staff. I ended up spending two days going back and forth trying to resolve the issue and arrange a refund, which caused a lot of unnecessary stress and frustration.
The dining experience was equally poor. Breakfast was disappointing, and even simple options like chips and nuggets were badly prepared and lacked quality.
The hotel facilities were also below expectations. The swimming pool resembled more of a pond than a clean, inviting pool. The outdoor chairs were unclean, and the sauna and steam room were not functioning properly — there was no steam at all. The sauna itself was located outside the main building in an area that looked abandoned and unwelcoming.
The location of the hotel is quite inconvenient, as it is far from most attractions and amenities. The only positive aspect of my stay was a nearby place about 5 minutes away, which at least offered decent food, but that does not make up for the hotel’s shortcomings.
Overall, I would rate my stay a 4/10 mainly due to the uncomfortable bed and overall poor standards. I will not be returning and would not recommend this hotel to others.
