The Townhouse

Perth|0.31km from city centre
My wife and I arrived with our friends from Ayrshire, to a great welcome to what, in all our opinions, is by far the best bed and breakfast we have ever experienced, and are likely to ever experience again. David and his partner, were excellent hosts, with a wonderfully infectious sense of humour, which turned our overnight break, into a brilliant experience. The bedrooms were sumptuous, with almost a theatrical nod to the Downton Abbey era, but were equipped with every modern convenience you could think of, and were furnished with top quality, classy furniture, which was soooo comfortable. The super king bed and bedding were high end, and the bathroom and towels was 5 star quality. But it was the overall attention to detail, and the provision of countless items of thought, which just gave our stay that absolute WOW! factor, Fresh scones with jam and cream, shortbread, freshly ground coffee, and even one of those bottle stoppers for your own Champagne or Prosecco, to protect the fizz ! Breakfast was quite simply delicious. The amazing honey and mint fruit salad, followed by a variety of freshly cooked local products and freshly baked croissants, set us up royally for the day ahead. The situation of the The Townhouse overlooks a beautiful park, and is a short walk to the centre of town and local places of interest. There is parking to the rear of the building, with access to the property. We could go on and on about our experience here, but anyone reading this just has to put The Townhouse on their bucket list when looking for accommodation in this beautiful part fo Scotland. You will be blown away !!

Holiday Inn Express Perth

Holiday Inn Express Perth

Perth|3.02km from city centre
Overview The hotel is at a good location in Perth and has plenty of car parking spaces. There is also number plate recognition so you don’t need to pay or have a ticket to get inside the car park or outside. Entrance is a little tucked away and next to Beefeater but a few mins drive to mains shops. The hotel is not really walking distance to any nearby shops hence use of a car or public transport is key. Check in and Check out. Check in when booking and on the original email was 2PM but was changed to 4PM and this was without any notification. When challenged at reception the response was owners have changed hence check in timings have changed as well. Room was luckily available at 3:15PM only to be told the lifts were out of order and would not be fixed for 2 weeks so we had to lug all the luggage via stairs to the 4th floor. The latest you can check out is 12:00, but we got to check out at 14:00 upon request. It was impossible to get a late checkout until multiple email requests were made to reception who grudgingly agreed in the end. When checking out , you can still use the ground floor toilets and request luggage to be stored in the reception area if needed. Our Room and breakfast. There were rooms on the ground floor but reserved only for wheelchair users. We had a family room which had one double bed and a sofa bed. A flat screen TV. There were some storage spaces – typical which one would get at a HIE room as in few hanging spaces and some shelves. There was a kettle provided and provisions available for tea and coffee. The bathroom was very small but clean with a basin, WC and shower cubicle. Towels provided for all of us. A fan was provided which was much needed especially as the window could only be opened a tiny bit. The breakfast was good and there were some options of cereal, scramble eggs, and a toast machine. They even provide vegetarian sausages that take 15-20 minutes to prepare on request. There were also cakes and croissants and a good coffee machine. An adjacent conference room was opened as an overflow which is great because the actual breakfast room is small and gets really busy. Location The location of this hotel is around 5-7 min drive from shops and restaurants. Many commercial car dealers in the area but McDonalds and Tim Horton's are a short drive away.

Travelodge Perth A9
4.3/541 Reviews
I have been to many Travelodges as well as their competitors throughout Scotland in the past two years and frankly, the majority are looking run down, they are not very clean, staff are a hit or a miss, the outside area if filthy etc etc. However, I got a real surprise when I checked into the Travelodge Perth A9 for two nights recently. Very pleasant receptionist checking me in. A big smile on her face, a real welcome and told to just ask if there was anything I thought the staff could help with. The corridors were clean, even the carpet and the paint on the walls. The door locks worked, the window latches worked, the bedroom was spotlessly clean, again no stains on the carpets or anything like that, the soap dispensers in the bathroom were full and actually worked (unlike in a good few other Travelodges I have styed at). There was also plenty room in the free carpark, the Inn was right next door and although not cheap was reasonably priced and had tasty fayre. I was surprised how good the pizza was. Overall, a very pleasant experience. Whoever runs and looks after the premises, facilities and the staff at the Travelodge Perth A9 should be commended by the company because he/she is obviously doing an excellent job.

Travelodge Perth Broxden Junction
4.1/541 Reviews
I needed a simple hotel near Perth for a couple of nights and the prices from Perth Broxden Travelodge were very reasonable. I found the found to be quiet, warm and comfortable. Nice bath, TV, free coffee and tea. That's all I was after! Also handy to be near a Costa for coffee/breakfast and a Harvester's is right outside if you need dinner. Oh, and a McDonald's but I didn't need that.
The Parklands Hotel

We booked to stay here overnight due to the hotels location to the station, although we did drive up to Scotland in the end. The hotel is set back off the main road which leads to a peaceful nights sleep. Our room was very spacious with a high ceiling, the bathroom was modern with a specious walk in shower. We opted to eat in the restaurant as we arrived in the dark and didn’t know where else to go in the city. The food was lovely and although we went into the city for breakfast, Im sure that is also very good. The staff member that we encountered doubled up as waitress and bar tender, I didn’t get her name but she is a wonderful, friendly lady and a credit to the hotel. If you are staying in Perth for any reason,I can recommend this hotel.
Hazeldene Guest House
4.4/537 Reviews
We stayed here over the New Year for 4 nights as two couples for B&B. We were late arriving due to our train being delayed but was met by Glenda who showed us to our rooms. Our first room was room 2 which was large and spacious, but during night there was a leak which meant we moved to room 4. Twin bed room not overly big but had all we needed. Breakfast was very good and ample selection and all freshly made. The place was very clean and tidy and about a ten minute walk Perth. Glenda and Rob great hosts would recommend staying here.
