I've stayed at the Long Trail House twice now. Once in a studio and once in a 1 bedroom. I would definitely splurge for the 1 bedroom if you can. The mattress we had in the studio was awful and the bed in the 1 bedroom was amazing! Location can't be beat either. Loved the hot tubs and underground parking. Will definitely stay here again!

The location is ok but if staying during the winter, be aware that despite what is implied on their website, getting a spot in the “indoor heated parking garage” is not certain, because there are not enough spots during busy weekends and the outdoor lots are not close. Don’t think is the case for some of the other buildings which have reserved parking, but it is an unfortunate surprise at Long Trail if you arrive late in bad weather.

The lodge is a very comfortable, family friendly location. Our unit had everything we needed. The views from our room were great. Kitchen was fully equipped. Parking garage was a real plus. Close to everything in the village. Of course you can't control the snow, but they tried.

We love the convenience of Long Trail. So close to the mountain. A quick Walk across the street start your mountain experience . A must is a Post ski outdoor pool and hot tub experience. Heavenly..Friendly staff. A lot of the smaller touches from prior years are missed. Live our time and memories here.. they are getting very pricey. Also a negative is the parking can be tough. The parking garage spots were definitively not designed for the oversized SUV’s and trucks that some people love.

The Long Trail House is probably the most convenient location in the Stratton Mountain resort. Right across from the main pedestrian village, it is literally 5 minutes walk from the central ski area. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment facing the back of the building and it was perfect for us. The apartment had a fully equipped kitchen, electric fireplace and tiny balcony. You also get free indoor parking with your stay though we had a hard time locating the door entry to the garage, when we arrived. You also need to pick up your door key/pass from the Black Bear Lodge. We had a frustrating arrival as we arrived around 8:30pm on the week before Christmas and hardly anyone from the resort was around. But other than that our stay was great!

We booked a studio for almost $400 a night. What we found was a horrible small room with Murphy bed, dilapidated furniture, peeling paint on the walls, broken cheap shades, messy kitchenette, moldy caulking in the bathroom. The manager on stuff said she could check the availability for upgrade to 1 bedroom for $150 more per night, but wouldn't say if the quality would be better. Will never stay there again!

We booked through Amex travel visiting family nearby. After studying the pictures I booked a condo on the first floor that was privately owned by a family of skiers. Our room was very very clean and tastefully decorated. It had everything we needed in the kitchen and bath.You have to do your research because every condo is different. Being on the first floor allows you access in and out from your patio and easy access to the pool. The quaint village is directly across the street.We enjoyed the pizza, market sandwiches, and mulligans, hiking and shopping.

The location can’t be beat. Short walk to ski lifts, shops and restaurants. You don’t need to move your car once you’ve parked. However, the rooms are dated and need an upgrade. If I weren’t charged such an expensive rate I wouldn’t be complaining, but you can’t charge top dollar prices for a sub par room. The tile in the bathroom was cracked. The rug was worn and tired. The kitchen was outdated. The fire place in the main lodge was never lit and only one of the two jacuzzis had working jets. We did enjoy our stay but for the price paid I will explore other options if we return. It’s five star pricing for three star service.
