"Located just off Piazza Italia, if arriving in Perugia by train get the bus to Piazza Italia it is a lot easier. As we arrived one of the reception staff ran out to help us with our cases, great first impressions of the service which continued throughout the stay. The rooms are huge including the bathroom which was bigger than some hotel rooms I have stayed in! The room and hotel had a lovely relaxing atmosphere with no noise and high standards of cleaning, there was a quirky shaped cupboard in the room with a couple of Chocolates inside. . Amenities supplied include three restautants and a gym on or connected to the premises. Breakfast was in the main one a large elegant place with a very large range on offer which covered most requirements. This hotel was our favourite of the six we stayed in during our Italy trip, it was the most expensive but the best value."

"I booked this hotel because I wanted to watch Ishikawa Yuki's volleyball match in Perugia. I was able to get to the match venue in less than 30 minutes using the mini-metro. It was a very cute hotel, and the bathrooms were clean. Also, an espresso machine and bread were prepared in the room, and although I had to leave early the next day, I was grateful that I could get up early and have a leisurely breakfast. The only things that bothered me were the noise of the ventilation fan and the lack of curtains, but these weren't particularly big issues. Above all, the owner was very kind. He even told me what to do if I got home late after visiting tourist attractions or watching a volleyball match, so I was able to stay there in a very comfortable and safe environment."

"We stayed in a room in the "la Feltrinelli" building, right on a piazza in the old town. The room was very spacious, clean, and stylishly furnished, and the en suite bathroom was also large. The generous breakfast buffet is located in the main building, just a few meters away. The location of both buildings is first-class; you're right in the center of everything. If you're traveling by car, like us, we recommend booking a parking space in advance with the hotel, which is located in a nearby garage. The staff is friendly, helpful, and happy to provide tips for activities and restaurants. Reasonable value for money. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend this hotel."

"What a great base to explore Umbria. Federico was a brilliant host, attentive and informative. When we expressed interest he went out of his way and took time to show us the property and all of the precious antiques, some dating from the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. The room was very large, the bed was really king sized and very comfortable, and the shower was the best we have had in all of Italy. We appreciated the secure off road parking. The common areas were very comfortable and the breakfast was fine, the sweets were made fresh every day by Federico's mother Mariella and served by his father Leandro! The location was perfect for exploring the beautiful Umbrian countryside, from Assisi to Orvieto to Spoleto and everything in between. We stayed four nights and would have loved to stay longer. A highlight of our trip!"

From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the beauty of the property. Our room was exceptionally spacious, featuring a luxurious bathroom and every amenity one could possibly need. Every detail had been carefully considered to ensure absolute comfort. The elegant lounge and bar area provided the perfect setting, whether for catching up on work, enjoying a quiet moment, or relaxing with a beautifully crafted cocktail. The outdoor spaces are equally impressive. The pool and pool bar are immersed in nature, creating a peaceful atmosphere where it is easy to lose track of time. The spa is simply outstanding, featuring a large sauna area, a relaxing salt grotto, and a heated outdoor pool overlooking a picturesque lake. It is a place designed for complete relaxation and wellbeing. The dining experiences deserve special recognition. The fine dining restaurant offers exceptional cuisine, where every dish is beautifully presented and prepared with remarkable attention to detail. The trattoria is equally wonderful, serving delicious pizza and authentic local specialties, all elevated by the same commitment to quality and presentation. Every meal was memorable. What truly makes Borgo dei Conti extraordinary, however, is its people. From the General Manager personally welcoming us on arrival to the attentive front office team, the valet service, and the delightful golf cart tour of the estate, every member of staff made us feel genuinely cared for. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail are second to none. As a family who travels extensively around the world, we can honestly say that this has become our children's favorite hotel ever. The team consistently went above and beyond to fulfill every request, no matter how small. From printing cartoon characters for our children to color, to patiently explaining the history and beauty of the estate, every interaction was handled with kindness and enthusiasm. Calling Borgo dei Conti a resort almost feels inadequate. It is more like a small town, a destination within a destination, where every corner reveals something beautiful and every experience has been thoughtfully curated. We arrived expecting a luxury hotel and left having discovered so much more: a place filled with soul, authenticity, and people who truly care about creating unforgettable memories. Borgo dei Conti is not simply a hotel. It is an experience, a world of its own, and without a doubt one of the most remarkable family stays we have ever enjoyed. We are already looking forward to returning."

"We have just returned from a week-long stay at Le Cappucinelle and our experience has been truly wonderful. From the rural setting, beautiful grounds, lovely rooms, and amazing spa, everything about this place, including the best smelling towels, sparked joy. However, what really stood out for us was the staff, exhibiting genuine kindness and true hospitality. Melissa at the front desk providing us with great advice on places to visit and getting around, Erjon whose humour and lightheartedness lifted our spirits (and definitely has a future career as a film director), and Ana with her impeccable English, undertaking various phone calls on our behalf. Breakfast was a great selection of local and organic produce, overseen by the lovely and kindhearted Monika and Danila, both attending to our needs on a daily basis. The hotel is conveniently located within a 10-minute drive from Perugia city centre and provides a great base to explore the various surrounding towns on the Umbrian countryside. If there is one area that I would like to see improve is to provide residents with more economical options for dinner onsite. With such an abundance of food choices around, the restaurant has opted for Haute Cuisine, which carries a massive premium. However, just by virtue of its location, the hotel does not really cater to passing trade and would benefit instead from offering a more competitive menu that would encourage hotel guests to dine in than seek alternatives. That said, we loved Le Cappuccinelle and already plan to return at the next opportunity (with thanks Melissa for showing us all our room options! :-)). We can only but highly recommend it to anyone seeking a place for refuge and relaxation in this beautiful part of world."

Large bedroom, decent bathroom with powerful shower, separate sitting room & even a small armoire with hob, microwave, sink etc. Storage & charging facility for bikes available and a very nice pool. A relatively small selection for breakfast but everything was good quality including home made cakes."

"We stayed for three nights at this wonderful Locanda, located just outside Perugia. It offers a convenient driving distance to various Umbrian attractions and is only 10 minutes from Perugia Airport. The views from our room, overlooking the valley and Perugia, were magnificent. Our room (number 13) was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The common areas, including a kitchen with a coffee machine and a fridge, added to the convenience. Breakfast was fantastic — tasty and abundant. We also dined each night at the lovely restaurant Stella. The food and wine were excellent and the benefit of not having to drive back allowed us to enjoy the wine fully. Silvia is a wonderful host. This is a hidden gem and we will definitely be returning."

"Set quite a way out of Perugia town, a car is needed to access this hotel in the hills. It is a little step back in time. The room fixtures are early 70s and there’s nothing super fancy here, but it is a charming and relaxing stay. The room is spacious but the bathroom is tiny and really needs an update. Breakfast was a nice spread but staff were not topping up anything and most items had run out by about 9:15am. The front patio is a relaxing space to sit and take in the pretty flower pots. Staff are lovely and this was a terrific last minute option to access Old Town Perugia."

They are very hospitable, including the cuddly Arthur, the beautiful Golden Retriever of the b&b. The very nice room recently renovated with a balcony overlooking the fantastic Perugia. Bathroom with shower and chromotherapy. Breakfast next door in an excellent pastry shop. Upon departure they made us find a box of persimmons from their garden... What can I say? "The perfect location. I left Perugia early in the morning and the location of the hotel was just perfect for me. The train station is 100 meters across the street. But this is not the only advantage. Nearby is a cheap fast food Chicken Flavor, working late. There is a pharmacy on the ground floor (it did not work in the evening). The man at the reception was all courtesy. The name of the hotel suits him. There is something conservative here. The room is simple. The design of the 80s. But it doesn't spoil it."
