The location of the homestay is good, it is very suitable for self-driving. The boss greeted us very enthusiastically. The top floor rooftop can watch the sunrise 🌅, which is slightly blocked. The sea of clouds is beautiful and it is worth coming. There are several varieties of breakfast, all delicious 😋, it can be seen that the boss is operating carefully. Like 👍

Considering the convenience of our return trip, we chose this hotel for our last night in Jingmai. The view was fantastic, and the owners were very welcoming. The lobby was tastefully decorated, with various plants and furnishings creating a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. Any lounge chair or sofa offered a perfect spot to lazily enjoy the beautiful scenery outside the window. The rooms were well-stocked with snacks, a bathtub, a projector, and even a tea table and teaware – the tea owner had thoughtfully provided everything. Each room offered a view of the sea of ​​clouds just by opening the curtains, but unfortunately, the clouds were a bit thin the day we visited; we'll save that for another time.

The homestay is in Jingmai Dazhai, you can drive the car to the door, and there is a parking space at the door. It is not far from the homestay to several other stockades. It is very close to the observation deck to watch the sunrise in the sea of clouds. It is very calm to watch the sunrise in the morning. The boss family is very good, and he also drove a motorcycle to take me familiar with the place to eat in the stockade. The room is large and the bathroom is not small, recommended!

The house isn't particularly fancy, but the village experience is fantastic. The owner is down-to-earth, serving as both the village group leader and the chairman of a performing arts company. He doesn't really see this as a business, but more like a favor to his friends. My family wasn't feeling well, so we checked out late, and there was no problem. We also witnessed the inter-village New Year greetings ceremony and experienced the musicality and warmth of the Lahu people. I loved everything about this place.

An excellent hotel. The rooms are fully equipped, spacious, bright, clean, and tidy. Parking is convenient, and the staff are very welcoming and enthusiastic. Definitely worth recommending for a stay.

The location of the homestay is in Manghong, the location is invincible 👌, the front is the open basketball court, and the Qiuqi Hotel is a neighbor, walk 50 meters to the broccoli tree, walk a few steps up to the hypothetical tavern, walk a few steps down to guide the traveler canna, from the sour horn tree, there is no tavern, Ah Ling breakfast shop, Donghe barbecue is very close, Walk 5 minutes in the morning to the Octagon Tower to watch the sunrise. All in all, the net red shops seen by Xiaohongshu are nearby. It is much more convenient to cook here than in Mangjing. The boss and the proprietress are Brown people, simple, warm and kind, make tea for us to chat and roast, the two children are also very lively and cute, leaving precious and unforgettable memories here. If it is not for this homestay, it is estimated that it will not be so happy in Jingmai Mountain. There is no habit of evaluation before, but this time it is really from the heart and can't help but leave a good review. If you want to feel the slow life of local residents, the living environment is open, this is right.

Cost-saving version: Great! Excellent! More detailed version: I stayed at this guesthouse for three nights and had a fantastic experience. The guesthouse is very new, located near the entrance of the village, making it very convenient to get in and out. It's just steps away from the village's viewing platform. The interior facilities are complete, and the view from the room window is superb, with a wide-open vista and a view of the sea of ​​clouds. The owner is a young man, a mild-mannered but very nice person, constantly inviting everyone to drink tea (lol). Every night, they would roast corn over a fire outside the guesthouse, very peaceful and comfortable. It's a bit long, but it's all a spontaneous five-star review! I'll definitely stay at Jin Gu La again next time! (Thumbs up)

I rarely write accommodation reviews, but this time I really want to give a shout-out 😊 Our stay at Guesthouse No. 56 in Wengji Ancient Village was exceptionally comfortable! The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft, and the view from the window was breathtaking – endless tea plantations and a sea of ​​clouds. The owners, a husband and wife, are the same age as us and we had a lot to talk about. They sell tea and run a guesthouse, and even during the busy Chinese New Year period, they drove us around the sights for free, saving us the trouble of not knowing the roads and finding parking! They invited us to drink tea and chat, sharing our lives and experiencing authentic Bulang ethnic life. Although there was no breakfast, there were small shops nearby, which was very convenient. Wengji Ancient Village was our favorite of all the villages we visited in Jingmai Mountain, and I sincerely hope that no matter how long it goes on, it can maintain its simple and honest folk customs and touching scenery, and not be eroded by commercialization!

All the reviews are true, but it’s not the wooden building that causes it.  Yes, it is very loud and you hear everyone. We’ve stayed in other fully wooden places, it’s worse here. Maybe not the wood but the guests are the problem. Loud Chinese people, walking the stairs with the heaviest pace you can imagine. Maybe help the other guests by hanging some warnings on the stairs: please be mindful for the other guests when walking to your room.  Also loud Chinese tourist on the square below. Not only while eating they scream all over the place, also with the tea ceremony nobody asks them to please stop talking after 23:00/24:00. We were up till 02:00AM because of tea drinking Chinese people at the fire. We stayed in the suite, which is located above the fire pit. Maybe the other rooms are less noisy. At 7AM each morning, somebody ran down the stairs. We think it’s the staff. It wakes you up through your earplugs.  The staff is OK. They are very shy, not rude. They could be more pro active though as we didn’t feel like they wanted to do something.. which is different to rude but also not very friendly.  The other villages around are way bigger and less cozy than Wengji. Also, with this guesthouse being just next to the town, it was perfect to escape the tourists most of the time. We didn’t find other accommodations in Wengji with the same aesthetics as Shishi guesthouse so we can’t recommend other places better than this. Maybe if the guesthouse would invest in trying to keep the noise down under the various guests, with text signs or with clearer house rules (fire pit), the noise problem wouldn’t be as bad.  Maybe if they tried to enthusiast their staff more and keep them from watching Chinese drama shows on their phones all day, they would be a bit more welcoming.  We’ve met a lot of amazing people in Wengji, it’s definitely not the locals that have this behaviour.  Lastly, the suite has a cubicle bathroom in the room, they really don’t clean this well. It smells very bad and just feels dirty all over.  For comfort this place is too expensive, for the location and aesthetics you won’t find better options nearby.
