We found the hotel to be clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly and professional. The hotel room was clean and compact. No tea and coffee in the rooms but I think that’s why it’s a 3 star hotel, otherwise it could be a 4 or 5. It’s a little bit dated and could do with some TLC but this didn’t stop us enjoying our stay there. We had an evening meal in the attached bar/restaurant, which has a pool and snooker table. You could go upstairs to the more ‘posh’ restaurant where they had more choice of food. Breakfast is £12 more but let me tell you it’s worth it! My plate was full and we received the most fantastic service from Evita the front of house person.

Went for Seafest menu 13/9/25 - A celebration of seafood in Peterhead. Started with the haddock chowder, which seemed to be missing any semblance of haddock but to be fair was very salty, so possibly seasoned with Peterhead seawater. For mains, we had the Fish pie and the lobster thermidor - fish pie ascended to the heights of slightly below average, but the lobster was all thermidor, negligible lobster. Haven't been there in a while, and am reminded why. On the plus side, décor was nice.

We visited this hotel as we were attending a funeral and after searching this looked welcoming. A seamless check in and friendly staff. The room was a good size, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The TV reception was a bit off and on but not a major issue. We ate in the upper level of the bar although you can eat downstairs too. We ate in the hotel on both nights and were glad we did as there was a good choice. The prices were very reasonable too. Again the staff were spot on. Very attentive and accommodating and just plain nice whilst very professional. Breakfast on both mornings was freshly cooked to order and again there was a decent choice. We booked this hotel as it seemed central . We had no idea that the reception after the funeral would be there too. The staff were once again consistently pleasant and helpful. We'd certainly return if we were to come to Peterhead again.

This is a brilliantly situated hotel. Very central and close to amenities. There is a taxi rank right outside and a small grocery store next door. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are fabulous. Everyone we met was so welcoming and friendly. The food was fantastic too. We ate in the upstairs bar in the evening and it was a lovely place to sit and eat. Annie, who was running the show here, was a delight and a consummate professional. Breakfast was high quality and freshly cooked. We would definitely consider returning as a much cheaper alternative to a stay in Aberdeen. Would highly recommend this place

We had a family party for 50 in private room with 10 bedrooms booked for overnight guests. We were very impressed with the quality of service, how well organised the function staff were and how promptly the food was served to everyone. The food was very good and I particularly enjoyed the vegetarian option which was the best I have had at a function. The bedrooms were of a good size, very clean and warm. The breakfasts were lovely with plenty of options. They were also happy to provide a tray for an elderly relative to have breakfast in their room. Overall we were very pleased with the Palace Hotel and thought it good value.

We held our 60th wedding anniversary in the front room. There were 30 people, family and friends including 5 children. The young lady organising the evening was excellent! Everything ran smoothly, the food and service was faultless. I also had my 80th birthday party there and that went perfectly as well! Thank you to all the staff for a very enjoyable evening! John and Ruth Beckett.

We were welcome by the reception staff who were most helpful and informative. Sharlene was outstanding with a few questions we needed help with and nothing was too much trouble for her. She had a great sense of humour and professional at the same time. The room was good and immaculate with a great tea and coffee tray. The breakfast room was really nicely decorated and very comfortable. The hot and cold selection for breakfast was really good. Again all the breakfast staff were so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble...The Palace Hotel is in the perfect location and provides free parking. We had a wonderful stay ..... Thank you so much everyone
