Petra was an amazing experience for us. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this beautiful place. The Nomad Hotel is pretty strategically located near the Petra Visitor Centre, provided you have a car or someone is driving you. It's still a walkable distance but on the way back it can be strenuous as you have to climb uphill to where the hotel is located. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Our room was not really spacious so we had to manage a bit with our large suitcases. But the bed was comfy and we had a good sleep. The view from the rooftop was fantastic. Breakfast was adequate, nothing too fancy but it served its purpose. There is a resident dog called Lucy who is very friendly.

The rooms are clean and quite spacious. I didn't try the breakfast as I felt 3 JOD (4 USD) is a bit steep and downtown Amman has a delightful assort of restaurants. Laundry costs 6 JD per load as of Dec 2024.

I have to go up a slope to get there.
New environment and new equipment, the night view is very beautiful at night!

Not far from the entrance to Petra. Overall, the rooms are not bad. But I was especially impressed by the Rooftop - it's very cool and it's a great place to smoke a hookah and even drink local wine

Pros: Clean, great view as it’s on the top of the mountain
Disadvantage: Located at the top of the mountain. The slope seems to be 30 degrees. It takes 10 minutes to go down, and more than 20 minutes to go up. It costs 3 Jordan from the main gate of Petra to the hotel.
Hotel Dinner 10 Jordan
Breakfast was 6 Jordan and there was nothing to eat, just food with cilantro in it.
You can eat at the restaurant in the neighborhood below the mountain, but I ate at the Gwichana Hotel up the road.
The bottom line is that if you don't have a rental car, taxi fares will cost more than lodging.

The location is on the side of the mountain, it is best to drive there, and park outside the hotel! There is a small bar on the 5th floor.

A bit of an uphill drive from the Petra visitor centre. Just 3 parking spots on the property (not closed off) but plenty of parking on the street opposite the hotel. The deluxe room is quite y but bigger than the budget ones and met our expectations. Early breakfast was arranged and ok packed lunch

I had an amazing stay at Nomads Hotel in Petra! The location is perfect, just a short distance from the entrance to Petra, making it incredibly convenient for visiting the historical site. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, always ready to offer helpful advice and ensure a comfortable experience. The rooms were clean and cozy, with great amenities. I also enjoyed the traditional Jordanian breakfast and the warm, inviting atmosphere of the hotel. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Petra!"

It was the coziest choice for a much needed break, the room was clean with a panoramic view of Petra mountains, the breakfast is decent but the omelette was a core taste of the experience, thanks to the chef. The terrace is the highlight as it has a very chill atmosphere to relax and enjoy the sunset. It takes a little walk down the road to get to Petra visitor center. Highly recommended for solo travelers and young adventurers.

Amazing solo stay at the hostel. The staff was beyond helpful regarding things at the hostel as well as Petra. There 24/7 help desk can't be praised enough. I also used the staff to plan the rest of my trip. To sum it up I can't say enough good things about my stay.

First of all, the exterior of this hotel has such a vibe and aesthetically pleasing. I like the concept of how everything you need in a city is clumped up into one location. The dinner (which is a buffet style) is sooo good. I didn't have breakfast and they also have a lunch box where you can take snacks when visiting inside Petra. They also have an amazing view of the rooftop and offer drinks as well. I didn't even attempt to explore the city to find restaurants or cafes. The room that I have was a typical bed sharing hostel but the attached bathroom is a new experience for me as I don't need to share with more people other than my 3 other roommates. The staff are AMAZING! Every single one of them. They helped me to book a bus going to the next city, to save time and money by giving tips and tricks on how to visit Petra efficiently. What I didn't like was the hike going up and down from the hotel to Petra is quite tiring but if you have a car it will be helpful. But for me, it didn't bother me. It's like a pre-workout before walking and exploring Petra so that's great I guess.
