Gypsy Sea View Resort- Phi Phi Island

Hello! 1600₽ for a night is okay, we thought about extending... but 2300₽ is not okay. In the room: no hot water, the toilet tank doesn't fill, and mosquitoes fly in. The pool is not bad, but they might deduct 2000 baht from the 1000 baht deposit for night swims. The area around the hotel is well-maintained. Overall, it's not bad.

The room was clean and spacious with complete amenities, and the staff provided excellent service. The surrounding atmosphere was very quiet and private, with no noisy parties at night, allowing for a super comfortable sleep. However, I have to deduct some points for the location. It's quite a walk from the pier and the beach, and there's a slight incline, which can be a bit tiring if you have a large suitcase. Overall, it's great value for money. If walking isn't an issue for you, I highly recommend it. 4/5 stars – beautifully peaceful and exactly what I wanted.

This is my third year in a row staying here. It's a two-story building with good rooms and a super comfortable bed, plus a pool. It's not beachfront, but it's only a 5-minute walk to the sea, which is actually better because there are no crowds of tourists. It's very quiet. Breakfasts are available. We even saw an iguana on the property!

We booked a room for just one night. It was quiet as it's away from the bars and party areas. The beach was also surprisingly close, about 500 meters away. The room had a nice view, and although it showed some wear and tear, the interior was pleasant. There's a 1000 baht deposit, and we'd read reviews about them fining for everything (they even have it written down). So, we photographed everything in the room beforehand. In the end, we had no issues, and the deposit was returned without a fuss. Breakfast was good, with fruits, meat, tea, and coffee.

The hotel is modest but clean. The breakfasts are decent and tasty, and the location is great, especially for those visiting Love Beach or Long Beach.

I'm not sure I want to leave this review, but I realize I need to speak up. Gypsy has really gone downhill in the couple of years since we last stayed here. On our first few visits, it was a genuinely good, comfortable 3-star-plus experience. Now, it's only the staff's smiles that keep it afloat. If it weren't for their welcoming attitude towards guests, their endless patience, and their willingness to help with any issue, it would be a terrible stay. The Gypsy staff deserve++++++++! They are wonderful! As for everything else... it's just 'meh'. The scenery is beautiful, but the hotel is tired and needs a renovation. The mattresses are a separate spring-loaded disaster! Any door can be opened with your key; I accidentally walked in on strangers because I mixed up rooms C and B. Breakfasts are okay, but they used to be better. The pool is warm but could use a bit more cleaning. Lots. Lots of downsides! I hope the hotel takes note and makes improvements, otherwise, it's going to be completely cringe-worthy.

The hotel is in a secluded location, the staff are responsive, but the room cleaning is mediocre. I asked for a two-hour late check-out but was only given one, even though there was no one else in our block. A storm was approaching, and we got caught in it and were drenched. We could have waited it out in the room if they had allowed us to, which I would understand if the hotel was full. They don't meet you at the pier on arrival, but they do see you off when you leave. For breakfast, there are two dishes to choose from.
