Panmanee Hotel-Newly Renovated

If you're planning a two-day trip, I'd recommend staying near the pier. This hotel is less than a 10-minute walk from the pier, and there are plenty of food options nearby. Phi Phi Island is a lot of fun, so definitely stay at this place!

The air conditioning in the room was broken; I couldn't adjust the temperature. It was either freezing cold with it on or boiling hot with it off. The soundproofing was also terrible, and I was woken up by 'cat noises' in the middle of the night.

The duvet in the room was a bit dingy, there was a lot of hair on the floor, and the air conditioning was noisy. They couldn't offer another room and wouldn't allow a refund, so we had to find another hotel last minute. It's much worse than a typical Ji Hotel in China.

Excellent, loved it, and super convenient.

I booked this hotel because I thought I'd only be sleeping on Phi Phi Island for one night, and it was cheap with a good location. The pictures online looked decent, but the actual conditions were much worse than depicted. For instance, the air conditioning in our room would turn off every 20-30 minutes, which seemed like a setting rather than a malfunction. All other facilities were also extremely basic, but since the room rate was so low, I couldn't really complain. On the bright side, the staff here were all very nice and kind, so that's a plus.
