The room itself was actually okay and the surroundings were quite nice, but there were many ants that would crawl onto the bed. If you don't lock the door, monkeys will open it themselves, take the snacks from the fridge, and eat them. The hotel provides free pest control if you explain the situation, but the AC was faulty and I couldn't sleep all night. It kept shutting down every half hour, waking me up hot all night long. We had staff come to fix it in the evening, but it didn't work. The front desk staff had a terrible attitude. When checking out, they asked if we needed a shuttle boat to the pier. After registering, they told us to wait to the side and completely ignored us the whole time. There were four other people waiting with us across the way; once the staff helped them with their luggage, the boat left without even asking us. We assumed ours was the next trip. After about ten minutes when no one came, I went to ask the front desk. They claimed they had called us and that I wasn't paying attention—even though I was sitting right in front of the desk, no more than four meters away the entire time. They kept shifting the blame, insisting we just didn't hear them call us to leave. Because we were in a hurry, we ended up having to pay for a boat at the front desk ourselves. The attitude was truly appalling, though the rest of the staff were quite nice. If you want a treehouse experience, you can stay for a night. The beach is pretty good, but I'd recommend the hotel next door instead.

The hotel environment is fantastic, giving you a real sense of being in a jungle. The interior of the room is also very clean and tidy. It's a bit far from the town, about a 20-minute walk or so. Walking to the main beach requires taking a small path, which can be quite tiring. However, if you just want to lie on the beach, you can do so right at the hotel's doorstep. The sand on the beach right outside is extremely fine and soft. Overall, I would still quite recommend it.

Awesome stay! Snorkeling right off Long Beach downstairs was just as clear as going on an island-hopping tour, and the best part was that there were barely any crowds. The restaurant has live music, and boats dock right outside. It’s an ideal place to just kick back and relax. Just a heads-up: remember to lock your doors, as there are monkeys around!

After arriving at Phi Phi Island from Phuket, we stayed at Viking for two nights. Upon arrival at Ton Sai Pier, a hotel staff member met us. It was about a five to six-minute ride on a longtail boat. You could also walk along the beachfront of the main town, but with luggage, it would be a bit inconvenient. The hotel consists of charming wooden bungalows nestled in the hills. They have a lot of character, but the cleanliness could use some improvement. When we checked in, we noticed some dirty spots and black marks on the sheets and duvet covers, but the front desk was quick to replace them when contacted. The beach in front of the hotel and the adjacent Long Beach are fantastic. You can go snorkeling and see small fish; the water is incredibly clear. Breakfast was a bit repetitive. For check-out, they provided transportation back to the pier.

They picked us up from the pier by boat. We were delighted with the room upgrade. The room was new and super spacious. The views were also fantastic. It's a 2 km walk to the center along a concrete path. Real jungle with monitor lizards, monkeys, and insects. This is my third time at the hotel, and as always, it's super. Breakfasts are a bit repetitive though.

These were an unforgettable 6 days at the hotel. The bed was very comfortable, the room had an authentic style, and every detail was well thought out. The staff's attitude was the best. The sea was perfect – I went to Long Beach. I vacationed in July. The food in the restaurant was delicious, though the Green Curry was too spicy for me. The weather was wonderful, only raining on the 6th day. The only downside was the path to the beach, where you had to hold onto a rope. If they built stairs, this would be the best hotel on the island. Every evening I walked into town, which took 20 minutes, but I really wanted to stroll around, not just lie around and eat all day. I found a super massage salon called Apple. The road was picturesque. I went on a day trip to three islands – it was magical. These were fabulous days of my life. The room was cleaned daily, with two bottles of water provided each day, and mosquito repellent in the room, but I didn't get a single bite. In the evenings, an artist sang to guitar music in the restaurant. Turn off the auto mode on the air conditioner and switch it to 'quietly' mode, and it will work silently. The sunsets were beautiful, like a painting. Once, an exhausted snake crawled onto the beach. Everyone photographed it, and it didn't bite anyone. The scenery is beautiful with stunning sunset views. The service was excellent; staff were always smiling and helped with our luggage. Our room's balcony had a hammock and beautiful ocean views. We rented a boat for 1800 Thai Baht (bargain required) to visit 5 spots, including snorkeling. You definitely need mosquito spray when eating at the hotel restaurant, which has a tribal feel. The path to Long Beach is very slippery (downhill), so I wouldn't recommend walking it at night – you might have a 'mysterious' experience and see insects straight out of a textbook! Most guests at the hotel were Russian or Chinese. The hotel has more than one beach; if you walk further in, you'll find another. On the beach, we saw crabs as big as dinner plates and hermit crabs. Overall, it was pretty good.
