My best friend and I were on backscreens through Cambodia. She started at the Local Guesthouse where we had stayed for two nights for $38. Before: The location is top! Located at the beginning of a side street of the Riverside, two minutes' walk from the Sisowath Riverside Park, The Local Guesthouse is the ideal base to reach some attractions in Phnom Penh walking distance, including the Royal Palace (10 dollars, worth!), the Silver Pagode, the Central Market (Art-Déco Hall!) or the temple Wat Phnom (It is a must! worth! Costs a dollar for tourists but well invested! A beautiful place and green oasis in the capital to escape the hectic.) The Local Guesthouse itself is simple, clean and conveniently furnished - as expected. The street is like the whole environment, very lively, but our room was ”outside” and therefore absolutely quiet! We have very well sleeped (thanks to the very good air conditioning). The staff is very friendly and premature - for this a extra lobby! We have not received anything from the supposedly noise Trubel in the restaurant below. The local Guesthouse is a living environment. Market stands, sticks, bars and one, two streets further from the collapse of darkness inconceivably many ”bordsteins”, which one calls as a tourist in a dozen. Whoever wants to eat or drink any more after the tour evening, should just go two hundred meters away from the Riverside - the cash bag is happy. In the front of the Riverside, it's all costing three times. And to this I also count the restaurant in the Local Guesthouse, where you can get six or seven dollars for one Eating is paid. They are too expensive! Two streets further you eat for two dollars at one of the but thousand gar-cuisines. And best! Conclude: Top as a base to explore the Riverside and the center of Phnom Phen without complications. Daumes up!
