The place feels really like home. It spacious. We can cook our own food and the place is close to the night market. It pretty convenient to find a place to eat outside or buy some souvenirs.

Upon check-in, I was initially given the wrong room category. After a brief discussion, I was moved to a different room. Cleaning was done daily, with sweeping and mopping, which is rare for Vietnam. However, a deep clean of the entire place is still needed. Windows and mirrors are wiped, but streaks remain. The towels were inconsistent – some had stains, others had holes. Before leaving, I noticed some new furniture being brought in. Recommendations for the hotel: 1. Replace all towels. 2. Provide the cleaner with quality equipment. She tries hard, good for her. With better cloths and cleaning agents, the results would be much improved.

The hotel is very close to the airport, but the hotel name on Trip.com seems to be an old sign. This caused us to choose the wrong Luxy Hotel when we first booked a Grab, sending us in the complete opposite direction and costing us double the fare. The hotel's current name is Mtown Hotel & Residence. The facilities are complete, though a bit old, but the front desk staff were very warm and patient, and overall it was very satisfying! There's a night market nearby, making it very convenient for dining and renting a motorbike.

The address was inaccurate, and I had to call the front desk multiple times to confirm. The room, bathroom, and bed were all just average. The staff were friendly, and there's a bustling night market nearby with all sorts of food, including slippers, clothes, and casual wear. You can find a wide variety of Western dishes, seafood, and Vietnamese seafood. The main clientele are Korean and Russian tourists. It's the most convenient guesthouse for getting to the Phu Quoc Mediterranean Cable Car Resort.

The hotel is fine. The location is great and we enjoyed our view of the night market. The problem was the front desk. The first night they put us in the wrong room type. We paid for a deluxe, but our plane got in late and they said it wasn’t available. The room was terrible with a bad view, but no worries over one night. However the next day they said the deluxe wouldn’t be available at all during our four night stay and they offered a free breakfast as compensation. This was not acceptable and after we complained and got angry, they miraculously gave us a deluxe room. The fact that one was available and ready made us more upset. To further disappointment us, we went to the hotel restaurant. It’s Korean. The food was fine, and it’s run by the Korean owner. The problem is that he tried to over charge us by adding an extra plate. We caught this and it was easily fixed. We came in from the night market street. When we walked into the hotel, he was surprised and embarrassed. We complained to C-Trip and their version of the story was filled with lies. They blamed us. The property is fine, but this treatment the first two days really soured our opinion of this hotel.
