Ocean Bay Phu Quoc Resort and Spa

Phu Quoc Island|4.56km from city centre
This was the most amazing holiday I have ever had. I stayed for 10 days and enjoyed every day in spite of visiting during the rainy season. From the moment of arrival Tram, the customer service manager, and his team ensured a warm welcome and a swift check in process in a relaxing environment with a welcome drink. All staff from the porters - we were welcomed by Bo who ensured to show us all aspects of our room and personally escorted us to the bar where we could get delicious food and cocktails - were professional and provided excellent customer service. The location is breath-taking - right on the beach with an infinity pool if you don't want to dip into the ocean. SUP and canoes are available for hire or you can just relax in the midst of the immaculate cultivated gardens or on the beach. Food and drink are available 24/7 with room service alongside a pool bar, separate bar with pool table and a dining restaurant with superb ocean views. Scooters and bicycles are also available for rent to explore the area but you can also walk easily to the main road and to a couple of local shops. The cocktails, fresh fruit juices and smoothies were superb with an amazing breakfast buffet which surpassed all expectations served in the tree top restaurant with a breathtaking view over the ocean and infinity pool. Pastries, freshly cooked Vietnamese omelettes, alongside noodles, cereal, toast, amazingly fresh fruit and Vietnamese coffee are all available in abundance. During the day there is a great selection at the pool bar or in the bar as well as the Ocean Restaurant in the evening for cocktail hour and an evening meal that has an open kitchen and is sited on a jetty with spectacular open ocean views. Everything was freshly cooked with a well thought out curated menu great options, including Pho, fresh steak, fresh fish, pizzas and pasta. The restaurant staff was extremely attentive and friendly - we were served by Khahn who was especially friendly and welcoming. Accommodation was jungle luxe with fabulous design, great attention to detail, excellent service and 100% tranquility surrounded by the jungle with all mod cons with direct access to a private beach. Highly recommended to relax and detox from the modern world. No need to leave the resort for the duration of your trip.

The Palmy Phu Quoc Resort & Spa
3.4/538 Reviews

The Palmy Phu Quoc Resort & Spa

Phu Quoc Island|3.51km from city centre
We were booked for Palmy by our travel agent. On arrival there was no manager and one receptionist who was surly and unpleasant and ordered my husband to sign the papers. She had to lug our suitcases to the room without any assistance. The grounds are a construction site for a new building being built up against another part of the hotel so windows face each other by feet. We had paid extra for an upgraded sea view suite. When we got to our floor, we walked through a sad dark and sweltering hallway, in what appeared to be an entirely empty hotel. Our room had not been cooled before our arrival and was more than 30 c. The “suite” consisted of a sad avacado- colored room with a small couch and nothing more- not even a lamp - totally useless space. To maximize light in the bedroom, the bathroom has been separated into 2 corners of the room- fully glassed in inside and out! The blinds must stay closed for privacy and if you don’t want to watch your partner’s activities in the toilet, you have to draw a curtain around half the room - leaving you still exposed to the detailed sounds of your partner’s bathroom activities, but also not providing any ventilation to the toilet. There is a nasty looking dark corner room that says ‘massage’ on the ground floorthat I would not bother to look into and a minimal menu of available foods, leaving you having to walk the busy main road to alternate eateries. This place was so bad that we left within an hour, forfeiting a considerable amount of money, including upgrade, so that we didnt entirely deflate and spoil our last 3 days in Vietnam. All the reviews are horrible like mine. This place should go out of business. One more really negative point- after taking a photo of our passports, they kept my husband’s without asking or advising us. My husband panicked when he couldn’t find his passport and I ran downstairs to check. No one at the reception area, but a bellboy who didn’t speak English, but who followed my pantomime and pulled from the front desk table top, a clear folder with my husband’s passport- not even in a locked drawer so cavelier about this holding of his single most important item. Even though they had his credit card on file, that is their custom. Utterly unacceptable. Apologies and refund should be provided, but has not been forthcoming to date. Lost about $300. USD
Camia Resort & Spa

Camia Resort & Spa

Phu Quoc Island|6.25km from city centre
We had the pleasure of staying at the Camia resort during the last week of December. It exceeded our expectations and we loved the intimate feel of the resort. The staff was so friendly and accommodating and I would especially like to mention Nhi (Katty) at reception who is a real gem. She went out of her way to make us feel at home, give us advice and made my husband’s birthday special by organizing a small cake and for our bed to be beautifully decorated. They all made us feel like family and that is why we would love to stay there again should we ever return to Phu Quoc. If your budget allow it, I would highly recommend staying in an Ocean villa. It is not only spacious with a lovely view from the balcony, but the open air rain shower is so romantic. We also loved the infinity pool and to relax next to it during happy hour and watching the sky change from a deep orange to many shades of pink. The cocktails are delicious and the setting of the restaurant lovely overlooking the ocean. We did find the food at the restaurant being hit and miss and this is the only thing I feel need improvement. There are many restaurants in close proximity and I can recommend “On the Rocks”. The breakfast was good and the staff very friendly, a few more western options would be nice. We were very impressed with the Christmas party hosted on Christmas eve. The decor was lovely and the food delicious. The gardens in the resort are so well kept with wild flowers and lots of green trees and plants. The use of the kayaks are for free, you just need to book in advance. I did not get to try out the spa but it’s located conveniently next to the pool. The complimentary transportation from the airport was also much appreciated. If in doubt where to stay, just book this little paradise. You will not be sorry !!!!

Mercury Phu Quoc Resort & Villas
4.2/521 Reviews
Absolutely amazing place! We stayed 5 nights and wish we could have stayed more before moving onto our next destination - it was amazing. Everything from the pool service, pool bar, drinks, the food and above all, the amazing service from each and every staff member. Every time we returned back to the resort, it felt like we were coming into our own home because of the big smiles, hellos and waves from each of the staff - absolutely amazing. We can’t forget to mention the wonderful pool bartenders who made our days and evenings with their warm smiles, laughs and caring ways - Lao and his evening bar female co-worker (whose name just escaped us). They’re amazing and MADE our trip ❤️ The location and amenities are amazing and very clean. The bed was VERY comfortable and the luxury pool villa was simple beautiful and so clean. We were never in need of anything! The food at the restaurant was absolutely delicious and fresh - a MUST place to eat during your stay! Big thank you to Phu Quoc’s Mercury villa family for making our trip in Phu Quoc! 100 percent recommend!
Vida Loca Sunset Beach Resort
4.3/522 Reviews
Hotel was perfectly adequate as a place to crash while exploring Phu Quoc. Rooms were clean and nicely appointed. I stayed in one of the older remodeled rooms in the main building. My friends were across the hall and the rooms on that side the building for some reason kept on having power breaker issues. I never experienced this in my room however. The little bungalows closer to the beach looked very nice in person and probably worth the additional price. Breakfast buffet was good with an assortment of Asian dishes (soups, meat dishes, rice, dumplings) as well as fresh fruit, breads, cereals, etc. Service was also very good. Our only real complaint was that we had planned on spending a full day at the resort lounging by the pool and beach and changed our plans to go to a beach club elsewhere instead once we learned that there wasn’t a bartender on site until the evening (and the drinks that he made once he did report to work were awful). Luckily Zen ocean bar is next door and we had some excellent drinks there. I would stay here again if I just wanted a cheap base from which go explore other local sites and attractions but not if I actually wanted to experience a resort. Beach itself was decent but water tended to be murkier than a few miles down on Long Beach.
Juliet Boutique Hotel - Sunset Town
4.7/54 Reviews
On the occasion of going to Phu Quoc at the end of last year, I stayed at Juliet's Boutique Hotel for 3 days. The hotel is in a great location, the staff is friendly and approachable. Hotel inspired by the old Juliet's house in southern Italy My room has a view of the sea and the Cầu Hôn bridge, the meaning of this bridge is Kiss Bridge or Propose, this is a play on Vietnamese words. Besides, you can also watch the fireworks right at the balcony of the room every night. At sunset, sitting in front of the hotel with a bottle of beer and a few friends is really relaxing The weather is great with rest, the local cuisine is amazing. If you come to Phu Quoc, I recommend you to experience at this wonderful house
Sunlight Bungalow
4.6/514 Reviews
This place is very clean and perfect for a place to relax. The place is run by a large family and they are very hard working and friendly. I went with my brother and we got separate rooms. We rented mopeds from the Bungalow and explored the island. The family is very honest and have a great restaurant at the Bungalow. What made the stay awesome was mingling with the family and making us feel at home. Price is very cheap for everything.
Sheraton Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort
4.5/572 Reviews
I travel the world with Marriott brand only, this is the very disappointed Sheraton Phu Quoc that I happen to stay, I booked a family suite oceanfront during June1-5,2023. This review written on June 2,2023. It isn’t 5 star resort. Marriott Should not put their name on it, because it degrade the quality of Marriott Brand. We check in during lunch and went to Garden restaurant, the lunch buffer have nothing worth to eat so we order from menu total of 5 hot dish for 5 of us, only 3 dish come out 20 minute, 1 dish come out 45 minute later and final dish never come. So 1 of us can’t have lunch. We lelf the restaurant and came to our SUITE all the keys doesn’t work so after the trip to front desk again finally we got in the suite. The room temperature was at 25C degrees and keep go up. Call the maintenance no help there The resort is old and need upgrade ASAP including AC units. We went down to front desk and request to change the room, they told us to leave our phone number so they can contact us regarding the room transfer. We never received the call, we have to went out to find a decent place for our dinner because we are not sure about restaurant dinner buffet!!! So by the time get to the room we too tired to call and bother the front desk. I am a Platium Bonvoy of the Marriott. It mean I stay at least 50 nights per year with Marriott. This is the first time I feel like I got cheat out of 5 stars resort. So today I will ask them to cancel the rest of the stay and move to another resort, hopefully JW Marriott in the other end of the island. My review is not prejudiced about the staff or Food not even the normal wear and tear of the resort but mainly with the management team. On the small note to resort management director. You should try your own food in the restaurant including the ice cream in the snack bar, I think the Ice cream was there too long. I wish all the best to my fellow guess and hope that you will be better luck then me. After my first impression with The 5 star resort. I would like update my review. Just one action of the top team management in breakfast room, it change my opinion and I am very appreciated his customer services. His name is Mr Hoang. He fresh up my family’s morning with an offer a cup of Green Tea, when services like that happen, it took out of all the bad experience and show you how great the staff can brighten your day. Furthermore in the long conversation he explains to me the new management just took over last September 2022 and in process of remodel the resort. Also the staff had been trained and continue to update their customers services. Therefore I would like to update my review with a 5 stars and continue to believe in Marriott branding Sheraton Phu Quoc Long Beach. This is on my day 4 at the resort and I am very happy to share with everyone. Thank you for read my review and after all we have a happy ending. My best wish remain with the staff of the Hotel specifically with the Breakfast room management
HAYA Hotel Phú Quốc
4.3/58 Reviews
Friendly staff Hotel accommodation is cheap and clean is ok. Breakfast is not good for my family's taste I ate all the seeds. Located on the beach in the middle of the tourist street 10 minutes walk to the night market. Right across from the hotel, Vindus, Safari, Grand World There is a free bus stop ~ The pool was clean. The downside was that the air conditioner didn't work well, so it was the hardest.
