Patong Diamond Hotel

I stayed in a room with a west-facing balcony. The balcony was small but offered a distant view of Patong Beach. It got very hot in the afternoons when the sun was out. The room itself wasn't large, but the air conditioning was sufficient. It's about a 10-minute walk straight left out of the hotel to Jungceylon and Banzaan Fresh Market. The Bangla Road (bar street) is about 5 minutes west from Jungceylon. To get to Patong Beach, turn right out of the hotel, cross the bridge, head straight west, and then turn left at the end of the road – that's about 10 to 15 minutes. So, the location is pretty convenient overall.

The room was absolutely uninhabitable. The sheets were wrinkled and dirty, looking like they'd been casually tossed on the bed 🛏️. The bathroom had no toiletries, and the shower head was leaking, spewing water that looked like India's Ganges River – completely unusable for showering 🚿. Dirty towels hung on the rack, and the toilet was nowhere to be seen 🚽. The entire room was messy and run-down, completely different from Trip.com's advertising of 'renovated in 20250' 😭. Paying over 400 yuan a night for a place like this is a total rip-off 😤. As a leading Chinese tourism company, how can Trip.com feature hotels with such fraudulent advertising that are so far from the truth? How did Trip.com even approve this hotel? Just imagine, a family arriving at a hotel like this in a foreign country. After a long day, you can't even take a shower or get some sleep. I hope Trip.com takes this incident seriously and refunds my money. You can't just wash your hands of it or say, 'This is all I can do.' Since I booked through Trip.com online, you are my primary responsible party when issues arise. Your dealings with overseas hotels are your business. If this isn't resolved, I will definitely defend my rights. You shouldn't betray the trust of the public in Trip.com; you should help us defend our rights.

I'm so fed up that I'm leaving my first bad review after years of traveling. This hotel is worse than a guesthouse in a small town. The hygiene is terrible; the bath towel even had bloodstains on it. I checked out right after checking in. Do the people who left good reviews in the comments section have no conscience?
