Abdullah Residence

Unfortunately, my room faced the road, and I could hear EVERY single car and motorbike passing by. There was only one staff member, a woman, who couldn't really help with my suitcase. My travel companion and I had to drag it up a steep staircase, and then I even had to ask strangers for help. Plus, there was a strange smell in the room and the bed was very hard. Even the bed linens had an odd smell, as if they hadn't been washed. I read other reviews and was hoping for something better, but sadly, it wasn't the case.

The interior has been renovated and is clean, but it's very noisy because it's on a main road. The female staff at the front desk were very unfriendly and the counter was almost always empty. There's no elevator. They didn't clean the room for 3 days and I had to buy my own toilet paper. When I asked for an extra pillow, they very rudely said no. I checked out after 3 days. I moved to a hotel in a nearby alley, and everything – the price, facilities, and service – was much better.

Honestly, from the outside it doesn't look like much... but inside it's very clean and beautiful, large, spotless bathroom (only issue: no ventilation), the bed was clean and well-made... very close to the main tourist areas, I think it's one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. The lady at reception was a sweetheart.
