Overall, my stay at the Bamby Resort in Kata Beach, Phuket, was quite good. The hotel's style is reminiscent of a Middle Eastern desert, which is unique. The staff were exceptionally warm and friendly, always greeting guests with a smile, which made for a very pleasant experience. The hotel's location is also excellent; it's surrounded by shops, and Patong Beach is just a 5-minute walk away, with various international restaurants and 7-Eleven stores along the way. Cleanliness was generally fine. The only minor downsides were that the soundproofing wasn't great, and I wish the breakfast selection had been a bit more diverse. Despite that, it was a good experience overall!

The location is okay, there are many restaurants nearby, but 7-Eleven is a ten-minute walk away. Getting to other places by taxi is quite far, and daily commuting round trip costs about 100 [currency]. The hotel does not have a shuttle service.

First, let's talk about the pros: the location is very close to the beach, just a few minutes' walk. The soundproofing in the hotel rooms is quite good, and there are plenty of dining options, 7-Eleven, and massage parlors nearby. Now, for the hotel's issues: initially, when I booked through Ctrip, I requested the Eagle Tower because I saw reviews mentioning it had been recently renovated. Walking with the hotel staff, I wasn't sure if we were indeed assigned to the Eagle Tower, but it was a corner room, quite a distance from the lobby. Also, despite explicitly requesting twin beds, they gave me a king-size bed. After communicating this, they arranged for me to stay in the Man Tower, which was very close to the lobby. These rooms were near the restaurant, so I agreed, considering I was traveling with elderly family members and a child. However, as many reviews mentioned, the room always felt very damp, even with the air conditioning on constantly. The bedding always felt cold and clammy, and there was a strange, musty smell in the room. I even wondered if I was imagining it, but it definitely smelled like mold. On the first day of check-in, due to the high occupancy, there were many people checking in. The staff were visibly busy, so the slow pace was understandable. However, the poolside area at the hotel is incredibly slippery. Not just for children, but adults walking on the wet surface found it very slippery. I'm not sure who designed the hotel and chose such tiles. My child fell and hit the back of their head, resulting in a large bump. During the process of taking them to the hospital, I found that the hotel had no emergency plan for such incidents. Fortunately, the X-ray showed no serious injury. After feedback to the platform, the hotel reimbursed me for the medical and X-ray expenses for my child and offered late check-out because I didn't have receipts for the taxi fare. However, this incident disrupted our plans for the next two days! If you're looking for a hotel with a pool and slide for your child, proceed with caution, as the risk is higher than at most places. Additionally, there were no toothbrushes in the room; you had to ask the front desk for them. Out of the four power outlets, three weren't working – either too loose or broken. I didn't bother to complain because I found the communication process tedious. Both rooms I booked had this issue.

My booking was split into two separate reservations: the first was for two consecutive nights, and the last was for a single night, totaling three nights. **Ambiance:** It's perfect for families with children, though it's a bit lacking in terms of a 'holiday vibe.' But for 400 baht, what more can you ask for? **Service:** Basic communication was fine, and the front desk assigned rooms as needed. **Facilities:** The water park is the main highlight and definitely worth visiting. It's especially great for kids aged 9-13 who are independent enough to fully enjoy it. **Cleanliness:** Housekeeping cleaned the room daily. I always left a 20 baht tip, but they didn't fold the elephant towels this time. If you're planning to take a taxi from here to major shopping areas like Jungceylon, I highly recommend using Bolt. For solo travelers, a motorbike is convenient and inexpensive, but for families, a taxi is more practical. There's a direct bus outside that goes to Phuket Town or Phuket Airport, which is very convenient if you're looking for a cheaper way to travel.

Overall, it was good, and the staff were all very friendly. The pool was a lot of fun, and the kids' room was very clean; the children could burn off energy there. The breakfast was good for the first two days, but then we got tired of it. About 90% of the breakfast items were repetitive.

A hotel perfect for families, especially with kids, as they'll love the slides. It's a short walk to Kiri restaurant and just a few minutes on foot to Kata Beach, right next to the Beyond Kata Hotel. The pink sunset over Kata after the rain was absolutely beautiful. We walked about 15 minutes from the Bamgo area to try Kata On Fire restaurant, which was delicious – highly recommend it if you're staying nearby. We also took a taxi to Rawai Beach and then a longtail boat to Coral Island, where we spent a wonderful afternoon. A truly great experience!

This hotel offers incredible value for money! It's fantastic, especially for family vacations. The water park facilities are extensive and my kids absolutely loved them. It's also very convenient for getting around, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. While the room amenities are pretty standard and breakfast is just average, the price point makes it an excellent choice for a family layover in Phuket.

The only minor issue was that the water filter on my shower head turned black after just one use, but everything else at the hotel was great, hahaha. Hope it gets fixed soon!
