Baan Laimai Patong Beach Resort Reviews

My first trip to Phuket and it didn’t disappoint us with our selection to this nice hotel. As we are sensitive in making sure a great location yet some privacy and noise as I read some nearby hotels were badly affected by noises till late night We arrived to the hotel which I booked two rooms, I was surprised to be informed that our rooms were upgraded to suite ? Which I’m puzzled as their website does not have suite category so I’m curious and happy at the same time. We were brought into room 8404 & 8403 which is a different block and has a private deck area with the view of sunset and beach . There were only 4 rooms on our floor. Then I kind of realize that it was probably their old spa private rooms converted into guest rooms . As it’s slightly better , so they categorize as suite ? My suspect is that they have insufficient rooms so we are given special rooms I guess ,I took the room because it’s quiet and has nice paddock area with some privacy . The only cons is that I feel that the pool is not well maintained and clean to our standard hence we only use it for 1 night . We stayed for total 3 nights . Breakfast was above average and coffee was not the best . Having drinks at Heron their restaurant has better coffee quality and nice environment at night at the outdoor with good crowd almost every night Our bathroom WC has some bad odour so we have to close the door at all times. Bed was not the most comfortable but still able to sleep throughout the night . Overall with the price we paid is a fair take but certain areas can be further improved
