Blue Beach Grand Resort and Spa

Rawai Beach Phuket|0.35km from Phuket Seashell Museum
A very good hotel for lovers of a quiet, quiet, secluded stay. It is located right on the seashore, but it is impossible to swim here - often the ebb and the water leaves, and when it comes - muddy muddy. You can walk along the coast and admire beautiful sunsets - sunrises and take beautiful photos. There is free transport to the beach (Nai Harn) (car with an open body) from the hotel - it takes you in the morning at 9:30, picks up at the same place at 16:30, you need to tell the reception that you want to go. very clean rooms. The room has two huge beds, three large wardrobes, a table, an armchair, two benches, a refrigerator, a TV, a safe, an air conditioner. shower, toilet, bidet. Always hot water, except for days when the whole city is without electricity (the administration warns about this in advance by letter) - we had this once a week of rest. They give different little things every day - gel, shampoo, cotton swabs, two small soaps, a Bathrobe and slippers, as well as two bottles of water, tea bags, coffee, sugar and milk powder. And there is a thermopot in the room. Well, and a mini-bar on the wall in the form of an altar :)) and in the refrigerator beer, soda, mineral water - for money. Internet is quite decent (free in the room). A large balcony with a table and two chairs. The view from the windows is stunning - the sea, there are no words, how beautiful. From the opposite side of the hotel, the view from the windows to the green parking (1-2 cars), flowering trees, the city, mountains and Big Buddha - as in the palm of your hand - also a good view. No rubbish. To the side of the road, so no noise. Sometimes the mosque sings, but when the balcony is closed it does not interfere. Cocks and birds also sing. The staff is smiling, friendly. They clean the room every day, wash the floor so that everything shines. Very clean. No insects. no flies, no mosquitoes, no one at all. Towels (large, small, for the feet) are snow-white. They change every day. The bed linen is always clean, also snow-white, 3-4 times a week. We washed and cleaned everything without any tip, we left $ 10 at the end of the trip. (For 7 nights) About breakfast: it is portioned. a hotel employee comes up and asks you - an omelet? potato? bacon? pancakes? - if you agree, then they bring you on a large plate, beautifully served omelette, 3 small pieces of potatoes (stewed with onions), 3 pieces of fried and crispy bacon and two pancakes (pancakes) with honey. There may also be two tiny sausages or two pieces of ham (or without them). In addition, on the tables in the hall there are plates with chopped watermelon, melon and pineapple, tomatoes, cucumbers, 2-3 types of salad leaves and sauces for them. Croissants and white bread, which can be fried (there is a small brazier right here), tea, coffee, milk, juice. cereals. two kinds of jam. In general, there is more than enough food for breakfast, we were never hungry. You can also order lunch and dinner here - there is a menu and a price list, you can order it in the room, there is also a price list and a menu in the room, but we didn’t try it. On the territory of the hotel there is a swimming pool, sun loungers near it, a tennis table. There is also a massage (the price is more expensive than on the street or on the beach). If you want to go to Karon or Patong beach you can ask at the reception

The Beachfront Hotel Phuket

Rawai Beach Phuket|0.61km from Phuket Seashell Museum
Prior to arriving at this hotel, we had stayed at some nice hotels in Vietnam & Cambodia, which in our view we’re getting better as our trip progressed. That wasn’t the case with the Beachfront hotel. First impressions were ok but we arrived late in the evening, and the receptionist must have been in a rush, as she rhymed off a lot of information in a matter of seconds. Our room, to be fair, wasn’t bad until we looked around. The first thing we noticed, was the toilet seat. It was a small size seat put on a large bowl!! We opted for the sea view room, but it wasn’t until the morning when we looked out the window, that we overlooked a field full of ****s and old tin buildings. Technically, we could see the sea, but really! We had to strain our neck to see it! Then came the beach! What beach? An area at the bottom of the hotel that is covered in sand and has sun beds. They have a bar there, so that saved the day, or did it? We quickly noticed that between the hours of 15:00 - 17:00 & 19:00 - 21:00 were happy hours, where they advertise 2 drinks for the price of 1. That made things better, until we noticed that all drinks on happy hour were nearly double the price. So, a bottle of Chang beer was normally 130 baht, but on happy hour, the same bottle was 250 baht!!!! Rip-off! If you happened to be one of the lucky ones to get the hotel transport to a beach area, some 15 minutes away, you’ve done well. The vehicle can only sit 8 persons, which means, most of the hotel wishing to go to the beach area, needs to order their own transport. Give credit where credits due, the breakfast and food in general is good. Staff in the restaurants are polite and helpful, but less can be said for the reception area. I found them slightly abrupt, ignorant and no patience. If you’re staying here for one or two nights, it’s ok, but anything more, I wouldn’t bother. The one thing that did come out of our trip here, was the menu. As much as the food is good, it was same old, same old, so we went out one night for something different. This lead us to a restaurant called Zen Eat, only about a 5 minute drive in a taxi, which should cost about 200 baht. A fabulous French fusion restaurant that was just amazing. You really have to try.

This review is going to be fair and honest. Pros - The stay fit gym and staff were amazing. Especially my personal trainer Marie and the front desk staff. Stay Green cafe staff and food were amazing. The staff were courteous and friendly. The grounds were beautiful and the rooms were comfortable. Finally, the stay Physio clinic was amazing. The staff were great, accommodating, and delivered amazing service. The clinic manager should train some of the front desk staff on how to treat customers. My physiotherapist and the nurse were both amazing and very helpful. Cons - The housekeeping department needs to be retrained ( some housekeeping staff were great) but it took them entirely too long to clean the rooms. Plus the cleaning time wasn’t consistent. Some staff cleaned well but a couple would leave dirty cups in the room and I had the same bar of soap for like 10 days before I finally asked one of the housekeepers to give me a new one. I was locked out of my room twice because the batteries in the door died. Problem was the second time I was locked out was two days after the first incident which means the batteries were old. The HandiGo app chat. What a joke it would take them 45 minutes plus to respond. Unless you have a dedicated member of staff handling the chat just do away with it. Finally, the rude front desk staff member who checked me out. Instead of diffusing a situation he escalated the situation by talking over me and being very defensive. I am the customer and if I am showing respect give it back do not argue with me and talk over me. He should not be in any part of customer service. Did the good outweigh the bad with my stay absolutely. But do not get so comfortable to think that retraining doesn’t need to happen.

This hotel can only be recommended to those who simply have nowhere to stay the night. I do not recommend the hotel to everyone else who came to relax in Phuket. Location is of fundamental importance to this hotel. The hotel is located at a great distance from all famous beaches. In any case, in order to have a normal rest in this hotel, you need to take a bike and ride it far away along roads with chaotic traffic and the risk of getting into an accident. Therefore, if someone, like me, happens to end up in this hotel, my advice is to change it to another one, with a more convenient location. I don't recommend vacationing here.
