Had a really lovely stay at The Beansheaf. A very friendly welcome and efficient check in. Our room was modern and well equipped and spotlessly clean. A very comfortable bed and great shower. We had an evening meal in the restaurant, a good choice on both the menu and specials board and the food was very good. Breakfast the next morning was also good. Service at The Beansheaf is excellent and everyone was friendly and nice to chat to. Although it is on the main road the double glazing meant that we had a peaceful night's sleep. Would recommend.

Stayed for four nights to explore area. Very pleasant stay. Rooms are basic but have everything you need. Comfortable and clean. Had a quiet room at back of hotel. Breakfasts and dinners were excellent, highly recommended. Parking was good. Owner/staff were very good, friendly and helpful. No hesitation in recommending this hotel.

A very welcoming small hotel, staff are very friendly and could not do enough to help us enjoy our stay. Bedroom was lovely and big, with a great roomy bathroom. Both rooms looked out over the road and fields opposite, there was quite a lot of traffic passing but this did not stop us sleeping in a very comfortable bed. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent with plenty of choice and served hot. We would not hesitate about staying here again.

My wife and I spent a night here and found the stay excellent - a warm hearty welcome, and a room with large bed, two comfortable chairs and lots of space and light. The night was very quiet, the shower was great and we would not hesitate to stay again when in the area.

I picked this Hotel due to its reviews and we were not disappointed! A lovely friendly welcome and a really comfortable room with a king size bed, tea and coffee making facilities which were replenished daily and bottles of water. It was lovely and quiet despit being just off the busy road into Pickering. All the staff without excepton were really friendly and helpful. One evening we returned late due to un unforseen diversion which took us miles round in order to get back. We phoned and told them we were on our way, and despite the kitchen finishing at 8pm we still got our meal. The meals were lovely and freshly cooked with a good selection including daily specials. The breakfasts were equally good, setting us up for the day! Thank you! Would definitely book again if up in Yorkshire.

For the price i feel mixed. The area is excellent but room 2 faces towards the front. Not having black out curtains is not great for sleep. Thin walls. Needs paint touch ups as a little hole in the wall. Dusty fan in bathroom, rooms look dated and tired compared to the outside entrance. Only reason it's great is for the customer service and the food for the evening. Breakfast isn't the best for the cost. Nothing amazing and very slow. Could do with more staff for 20 rooms. The soap in the bathroom wasn't full on arrival. Daily biscuits were replaced, towels were cleaned if put on the bath, beds were tidied to an appropriate standard, bins were mostly emptied except the second day. Tissues were on the bedside, the bathroom had shower caps and paper sanitary disposable bags, small shower washes that were very small. The bedroom was restocked with smaller water bottles after a first day, tea and coffee amenities were also restocked. Perhaps with a night cap, ear plugs and a less firm bed i would be happy but I wanted a little bit more for my money if I'm honest. The place needs alot of little things to restore a satisfaction that is a high standard. Cannot fault the food and puddings for the price. Stayed 3 nights.

What a little gem of a hotel, clean, the hotel owners and their family were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble for them. Considering there were 15 adults, an 8 week old baby and a little dog to cater for they were wonderful.
