Embassy Suites by Hilton Parsippany

Very good stay I went to the pooland it was not heated. It was cold. Food was great for breakfast and dinner.

The first of the problem is, I got there at 9:15pm, knowing that the bar/restaurant was going to close at 10. Nope, they were closed. The excuse? It wasn't busy, so they closed it early. Then there's a little shop where they also sell beer. The sign said the alcohol can be purchased till 12am. Nope, closed. When I confronted the front desk, they simply told me that they had to close it because the bar is closed. It's kind of unbelievable that I had to remind them that the bar/restaurant was supposed to be open till 10pm, and the sign says, right there, that the alcohol can be purchased till midnight. They said yes, and carried on with whatever they weren't doing. Not that I desperately wanted beer or something, it was fine, but it's simply unbelievable. While that type of hotels are interesting architecturally, the hotel shows its age. The bathroom is old and tub slightly rusty, and wallpaper shows rips. Generally pretty dirty, too. I found a still wet wash towel in a bedside drawer. Nasty stain on the chair, etc. The room is spacious, which is good, but slightly depressing.

The walls are very thin. You can hear everything through the walls- light conversion, people snoring and alarm clocks, etc. The mattress is terrible, it’s equivalent to sleeping on a hard futon. When they came into the room to “service” it. They one place two paper cups- the bed was not made and the towels were not replaced. I question why house keeping even came into the room at all. The atmosphere is nice due to the plants, the breakfast was ok, the rooms are spacious. They give 1 complimentary drink and snacks during happy hour, snacks consist of chips, salsa, nuts and gummy bears. Would I stay here again. The short answer is no.

This place needs a serious update. It may have been fantastic in the 90s but currently I do not recommend

Fantastic staff but the property needs a facelift. The staff was amazing, especially Melissa at the front desk. She was a pleasure and extremely accommodating to our large group of rooms and requests. The property itself needs a facelift. The furniture in the rooms and the bathrooms are in need of replacement and repair. Although the staff thoroughly cleans, the rooms have seen better days.
