"A superb location for relaxation and well-being. We spent 11 fantastic days in this beautiful, family-run atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the service was absolutely top-notch. We haven't experienced better service, even in 5-star hotels around the world. The food was also prepared with great attention to detail and served perfectly. High praise for this brilliant concept of creating a truly cozy and luxurious atmosphere with just a few accommodations. We would love to return. Many thanks again to the entire team. "This was actually a wonderful beach apartment and beautiful gardens but the two staff members in the reception were so unpleasant, rude and with such a bad attitude that we will never come back. The apartment was big, clean and spacesious with a big porch. The surrounding area was well kept with lots of beautiful flowers. The restaurant staff both in the evening restaurant and the breakfast restaurant were smiling, friendly and very attentive and polite. We ate oven baked lamp and pork chop in the evening. It tasted great. The beach (under water) was not good. Full of uneven cliffs and rocks and covered with some unpleasant slimy seaweed. The water was close to impossible to enter in front of the hotel. If you walk to the other end of the beach in front of the camping site, we were able to enter the water. The beach (over water) was sand and gravel/small rocks. At our departure we met another front desk staff member. We were returning our 3 beach towels to get back the enormous deposit of 45 € (!!! 15€ per towel). The man would only give back 40 € because he said there was a local tax. 5€ tax on beach towels!! He had just clearly stated that we had prepaid all of our stay, so that was all settled. Suddenly he changed his reason for wanting the 5€. It was tax on the room. It all seemed very strange. He was rude, angry and very impolite. I didn’t want to argue any further on this matter so I let him have his 5 € and left. I will gladly pay the local tax which is sometimes included and sometimes not. If there was a misunderstanding - fair enough. But the attitude of the staff was just terrible. I can’t recemmend this hotel to anyone. Greece has som many other pleasant places to choose from. The 2 stars are one for the apartment and one for the other staff working in the restaurants."

"We only found the Almira by chance on our trip. A somewhat hidden little hotel in a fantastic location on a small bay, and behind the hotel there is a small town with restaurants and a supermarket. Not an overcrowded tourist resort with souvenir shops. About the hotel...we had a family room with two double beds in two rooms. In the back children's room there were wardrobes with four drawers and soft mattresses. In the front room the mattress was harder and there was more storage space. A sideboard with 4 large drawers. There were two TVs (no idea which channel) and the bathroom was also large and clean. From the balcony you had a beautiful view of the pool and the sea. The breakfast was OK, although I missed fruit (melon, oranges, figs etc.) for the yoghurt. There was muesli and cornflakes and all kinds of Greek vegetables, pastries spicy and sweet. The coffee was good, but the two juices in red and orange were pure chemicals and ultra sweet. I found the wifi to be negative. It just wasn't strong in our room and kept cutting out even though we weren't far from reception. This meant that we used up a lot of our data volume without noticing. The pool was clean and attractive and the path to the sea was just a stone's throw away. The hotel had beach loungers, but it was harder to find one at the weekend as there were a lot of locals there. You can also lie down there if you're not a hotel guest and order a drink at the bar. We would choose the hotel again if we wanted to relax for a few days. The bay is small, but you can take a long walk along the beach across the dunes. The hotel is pretty cheap with a flight through TUI. We paid €140 for the family room."

"We spent a nice week there. Everything is basic and modest but neat and clean. Nice family atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Clean rooms. Cleaned daily and towels changed daily. Breakfast simple but fresh and tasty. Two swimming pools, small restaurant. Location a short walk from the town (and town beach). Total silence around the hotel. A field, an olive grove, a tiny café a little further on."

"We needed to stay overnight to take a ferry nest morning from Kyllini. The hotel is in Arkoudi. There are a couple of local tavernas right across the street, which was super convenient for dinner, we dined at Amvrosía. The hotel has on-site parking. The hotel seems a family-run place. Our room was clean and comfortable, overlooking a pool. The surrounding garden area provides a relaxing atmosphere. I felt like I got excellent value and a pleasant stay."
