Upon arrival, there was no one at the property and we did not receive any message or call from Trip.com or the owner about check-in. Luckily, a neighbour noticed us waiting and helped contact the manager. Otherwise, we would not have known what to do.
The first room given to us had mould in the toilet and the tables and chairs were dusty. Since we were the only guests, we were later allowed to choose another room.
The washing machine filter was dirty and filled with tissue paper and debris, which I had to clean myself before using it.
Throughout our stay, we only communicated with the manager through WeChat whenever we needed towels, toilet paper, or bottled water. A housekeeper was supposed to clean the room during our stay but did not show up until the evening, when we were already back and resting. And she didn't clear up the laundry area where the basin was flooded with rain water.
Geshan Art Inn is a quiet and nice place, but the lack of proper cleaning and housekeeping made the stay disappointing.
