A truly satisfying stay. The three-courtyard layout is elegant and comfortable. Sitting in the courtyard on a September autumn night with a cool breeze was incredibly pleasant. The Chinese-style architecture, while lovely, is perhaps the least noteworthy aspect, as what truly stood out was their exceptional service quality and attitude. The staff were incredibly friendly and answered every question. Although I booked a twin room, the manager generously upgraded me to a 60-square-meter Kang bed room. They even provided pick-up and drop-off services from Pingyao Ancient City, demonstrating meticulous care in every detail.

This is a pet-friendly guesthouse located right on the street within Pingyao Ancient City. The environment is excellent, featuring a traditional Shanxi-style courtyard with three entrances and exits. The staff are incredibly friendly, and everyone was very welcoming towards our dog. Highly recommended!

After the bustling crowds have dissipated, Pingyao in summer unveils the gentlest coolness and poetic charm of northern China. As the final stop on our Shanxi trip, we arrived at this 2,700-year-old ancient city and checked into Taotang Jing She, a century-old courtyard hotel in Jinzhong. The hotel boasts an excellent location in the heart of the ancient city, within walking distance of major landmarks like Rishengchang, yet it remains wonderfully quiet and undisturbed. The facilities are modern, featuring high-end brands throughout, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The overall design seamlessly blends the classical beauty of a Jin merchant compound with contemporary luxury, providing us with a delightful stay. The butler service was attentive and thoughtful, from proactive communication before booking to meticulous care after check-in, promptly responding to all our needs. The staff were warm and professional, truly making us feel at home. The children absolutely loved the 3.9-meter-long *kang* (heated brick bed) and had a fantastic time playing on it. The restaurants recommended by the butler were all excellent, and they even kindly provided membership cards for discounts. For our future trips to Pingyao, Taotang will undoubtedly be our only choice.

The guesthouse's location is perfect, making it very convenient to explore the ancient city on foot. The breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. This stay exceeded my expectations, and I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit, and I highly recommend it to friends traveling to the area!

Following the hotel staff's directions, we parked our car in the parking lot outside the ancient city. A dedicated shuttle then took us to a designated spot where hotel staff were waiting to pick us up. The hotel is located right in the heart of the ancient city, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing. It's a charming, traditional three-courtyard building, perfect for taking photos. Breakfast was exquisite, almost like a Japanese set meal, and the rice noodles were absolutely delicious. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and proactive, always smiling and very efficient, making us feel incredibly welcome and warm. Even though there was a small incident last night, it was all water under the bridge.

The location is very convenient, not far from Rishengchang. The antique-style decor is also very unique, and the owner's service is thoughtful and attentive. Breakfast is quite rich and the timing is flexible.

This hotel is right in the heart of the old town, and it's absolutely new and fantastic. The mattresses and toiletries are all top-brand, and even the Dyson hairdryer is the latest model. My best friend and I had such a great time here; she was super happy! It truly feels like a super five-star experience. The courtyard is also beautiful – perfect for taking pictures! The manager who greeted us was incredibly warm and attentive. I'll definitely book here again next time I visit the old town. This is a genuine review, not a paid one! 😐

Fantastic service! They contacted me in advance and even provided high-speed rail pickup. We also got a room upgrade. The B&B's location is excellent, within walking distance of all the main attractions. We had such a comfortable stay that we extended it for another night. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Pingyao Ancient City.

The environment is beautiful and clean. The owner is warm and thoughtful, always ready to help. During the May Day holiday, we didn't have to queue up at popular restaurants, which saved us a lot of energy and time. It's definitely worth staying, and worth coming back to. This isn't a fake review, you can book with confidence.
