The guesthouse is in a great location, making it very convenient to access the main streets and attractions inside Pingyao Ancient City, and it was quite quiet at night! The courtyard environment is lovely, featuring a traditional two-courtyard layout that is great for taking Instagram-worthy photos! The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive—from the pre-stay communication to the reception service upon arrival, everything was spot on. They even gave us a small souvenir when we left. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, highly recommend Red Lantern House!

Not bad, the room was quiet. Being in a *hutong* (alleyway) gave it a unique feel. Breakfast was just so-so.

The service here definitely deserves a full five stars! From the lovely ladies at the front desk to the shuttle drivers, everyone was incredibly helpful. They confirmed our itinerary and transportation in advance, arranged parking, checked if our car needed charging (whether it was gas or electric), confirmed our arrival time, provided full pick-up and drop-off service, helped us get seated at popular restaurants, even got us discounts, and were always quick to respond. This is honestly the most attentive service I've ever experienced at a B&B! The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped, and the courtyard was perfect for taking photos. The guesthouse is very close to the main street but still tucked away and quiet. Overall, I'm very satisfied. The only thing they could improve upon is the breakfast.

Pingyao was absolutely packed during the holiday, so staying in a guesthouse within the ancient city was our top choice, making it easy to explore when there were fewer crowds. First off, the guesthouse location is excellent – it's tucked away in a quiet alley just off the main street, so everything is within easy reach. Secondly, the service was top-notch; they picked us up and dropped us off at the station, helped with our luggage, and even used an electric car to transfer us to avoid traffic. The hotel facilities are also great. Highly recommended!

The service was excellent. They contacted me a day in advance to arrange parking outside the ancient city, and on the day of arrival, they arranged a car to pick us up and take us into Pingyao Ancient City. The hotel's location is in the city center, making it very convenient to get anywhere. The hotel's decor and facilities are great; the interior looks like a beautiful landlord's compound. The breakfast was also delicious, much better than what you'd find at a typical budget chain hotel. Overall, I highly recommend it. They even gave us a box of vinegar as a gift when we left.
