Mercure Pingyao Ancient City: An Immersive Encounter of French Romance and Ancient Town Charm
When the elegant lines of France meet the blue tiles and gray bricks of Pingyao Ancient City, MyHotel emerges with its unique charm. Located at the southeast corner of the intersection of Shuncheng South Road and Yiyuan Street in Pingyao County, it serves as the "golden hub for exploring the ancient town"—a mere 3-minute drive from the Pingyao highway exit, eliminating the fatigue of long-distance travel; a 6-minute journey through bustling streets and alleys allows you to touch the weathered texture of the city walls; and a 10-minute drive to the Pingyao Ancient City high-speed rail station seamlessly connects your itinerary, ensuring smooth transitions for every leg of your journey.
As a mid-to-high-end brand jointly created by Huazhu Hotels Group and Accor Group, MyHotel adheres to the original vision of "one design per property," deeply integrating French aesthetics with local culture. Upon entering the lobby, a dedicated art wall instantly captures your gaze: the intricate carvings of French Rococo style intertwine with the contours of Pingyao's ancient city walls and the delicate patterns of paper cuttings. Warm yellow lights cast upon the wall, as if narrating a gentle dialogue between two civilizations; a French leather sofa paired with a wooden coffee table, adorned with Piguang lacquer ware pieces, embodies the thoughtful design of "Western and Eastern harmony." Sitting down to sip a complimentary coffee instantly lifts the burdens of travel.
The guest rooms further elevate the "immersive experience." Pushing open the door, Morandi-toned walls exude a soothing and restorative ambiance, with light gray, beige, and subtle caramel hues complemented by modern classical flowing lines. Arc-shaped headboards and circular pendant lights add curved elements, while sunlight filters through sheer curtains, filling the space with the languid charm of French style. Lying on the soft Silken mattress, its ergonomic design instantly relieves fatigue; the Westima smart toilet delivers a clean and convenient experience, the Laifen hairdryer's powerful airflow makes styling effortless, and the smart room control system allows easy adjustment of lighting, curtains, and air conditioning, with every detail brimming with thoughtfulness. The in-room tea bar also holds delightful surprises, featuring specially prepared seabuckthorn juice, the refreshing taste of cola, and the crispness of soda, ready at any time.
The morning culinary feast is a testament to the hotel's "One City, One Flavor" philosophy. The buffet breakfast area is filled with enticing aromas: on one side, the authentic flavors of Pingyao await—freshly made tangy rice noodle rolls, topped with secret-spiced chili oil, minced garlic, and aged vinegar, deliver a burst of sour, spicy, and savory flavors to awaken your senses; handmade flatbread offers chewy and flavorful bites, paired with tomato egg or meat stew, embodying the rich aroma of Shanxi's wheat-based dishes; on the other side, French delicacies take center stage—freshly baked croissants with crispy exteriors and tender interiors, topped with butter and jam, paired with freshly brewed French coffee, instantly transports you to a Parisian café. The competition between Chinese and Western flavors satisfies the discerning palates of diverse diners, ushering in a day full of energy.
The hotel's considerate service and comprehensive facilities further elevate the stay experience. The complimentary shuttle service is thoughtfully designed, with staff coordinating your itinerary in advance. Upon arrival, they will be waiting at the station to assist with your luggage, sparing you the hassle of carrying it yourself. The robotic delivery service is both efficient and delightful—simply place an order via your phone, and adorable robots will deliver your items precisely to your room door, adding a refreshing touch to your stay.
For those who wish to maintain their fitness routine, the gym is always open and equipped with Technogym professional exercise equipment, featuring treadmills, dumbbells, and more, allowing you to stay active even during your travels. If you need to wash your clothes, the LG washer and dryer combo handles the task effortlessly, leaving your laundry soft and fluffy as if infused with a hint of sunlight.
What's more noteworthy is that the hotel leverages the dual membership systems of Huazhu Club and Accor Plus, granting access to over 200 million global members. Guests can enjoy exclusive member benefits such as discounted rates and late checkout, while frequent travelers can earn points to redeem free stays or global hotel privileges, making every stay more rewarding.
