A lovely traditional courtyard hotel with lots of character right in the heart of the old city within walking distance to everything you would want to see. The owner speaks good English and provides you with a map and details of beautiful Pingyao’s must see local attractions. The hotel is quiet and the Chinese breakfasts with either tea or coffee are delicious. The owner can also organise a good driver for any out of town excursions. Highly recommended

Works well as a hotel inside the antique city. But there’s only very few options anyways. The staff is super friendly and helpful.

The most beautiful building both facade and courtyard, such an interesting room as well, a step back in time and just what we hoped of our stay in Pingyao! It feels authentic and has so many details, nice furniture and views, we'll certainly never forget our stay. The location is central enough yet quiet, close to many restaurants and sights. The lovely and generous hosts have also given us the best tips possible for our visit, thank you so much! By the way, it was called Dujia Inn on our map and is easy to find.

We are a couple from Sweden that has been backpacking around the world for two years and we usually travel a lot. The stay was very nice! The room is small but beautiful and the location is awesome, quite comfy bed and nice water pressure in the shower. Breakfast is chinese style but good. The staff is really nice and helpful, gave us a map and showed us were to go etc. Thanks, Kind regards Johannes and Ebba

I was so impressed by the environment of the hotel. it is tidy and clean. besides. the hotel manager is extremely polite and hospitable. the service of hotel manager can be compared to five star luxury hotel service. I definitely recommend other people to come here when they come to Ping Yao.. no matter they re Chinese or from abroad. it's one of the best hotel I stayed in China. and definitely best in Ping Yao

Beautiful place to stay ! Located on the inside of the Pingyao wall ! The host and his brother are very friendly and helpfull ! Hé gives you information to see Pingyao in the best way! Hé arranged tickets to the theatre for us ! So we could visite Pingyao without a guide ! The room is very clean , every day clean towels and water free ! Breakfast is Chinese style and you need to pay a little extra amount.

The hotel is really nice and in the authentic style of Pingyao. It is quite closed from the east gate and from the ancient city center. The owner is really friendly, speaks good English and is doing everything to make you enjoy your stay. He did explained very well all the activity and provide help if needed. The room is clean and we didn't care about the size as we were out all day. If I have to suggest one thing, it will be to have bigger mattresses as they are quite hard but it's a personal preference.

One of the best hotels in terms of value for money we’ve stayed in during our 2+ year world trip. Photos paint an accurate picture. Staff are incredibly friendly, local breakfast with plenty of veggies, and the location is right in the old city while being away from the madness of the main streets. Beds are hard but comfortable. And the courtyard, it is só so pretty, especially in the evening. 10/10, would absolutely come back and stay again.

Great experience, It Is a 200 years old Building inside the walls of Pingyao, few minutes from East gate. The owner and his family Is welcoming and kind, he contact me few days in advance and explained how to get there from train station and even waited for me at the East gate. He gave suggestions on what to see and where to eat. Room Is spacious and the bed Is comfortable, the house Is very charming. I really loved my stay there! Thank again for hospitality and all the help! Serena.

Very nice house and room in a very quiet environment that is not developed for tourism yet, but only 1 block from the touristic part. Very helpful staff. I can recommend 100%.

Room was warm and comfortable. Located a short walk away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist streets. Run by a really nice family who took extra care of the guests by offering recommendations for food, visits, day trips and pitfalls to avoid. Excellent host who looks after welfare of guests. Highly recommended.

The hotel is located in the old city with superb decoration in an old Chinese style. We felt like we were back 200_300 years ago which is in line with the old city environment. The owner is very friendly and gave us very good recommendation. We love this hotel.

Great place. Beautiful and cosy hotel. We stayed in a kang (traditional bed). The owner was extremely kind and helpful. He speaks good English and is very friendly. He provided tea, water, map explanations, and discounts for a few good restaurants. The place is near the main street attractions. Delicious home-made breakfast.

The hotel was super nice and familiar, we felt right at home. The owner gave us a map and suggestions for Pingyao with everything we needed to know, from museums to good restaurants etc. The building is very beautiful and traditional &the room was clean. Overall, we would recommend it to anyone travelling to Pingyao and hope to come back soon! Everyone was so nice there!
