Pingyao Zhao's Home Stay

Staying here was one of the highlights of my trip to China. Mr. Zhao Zhiwer picked me up at the city gate on his moped, which made for a fun and memorable arrival, weaving through the old lanes to the house. I happened to be there for the Mid-Autumn Festival, and the family set up a beautiful altar for the moon. They let me be part of the celebration, and it felt like being welcomed into a home rather than checking into a hotel. The room was exactly what you'd hope for in an authentic Old Pingyao courtyard house: traditional, full of character, and with all the comfort you need. A must for couples and solo travellers who want to experience the real Pingyao. Thank you, Mr. Zhao, for your kindness!

Very enjoyable stay. The host were very nice explaining what I can do and taking care of me, ex bring me to the train station. The place is very nice and peacefull.

Clean room and conveniently located near the north gate where one can take bus to the temples and train station. Owner is very nice to give advice on how to sightsee around here. Owner also gave me fruits on 2 days. Highly recommended to stay here.

Very convenient, really nice people and the rooms are clean. I recommend to visit this place, calm and quiet, a real nice experience :)
