Pingyao Fanjia Laoyuan Chinese Inn (Pingyao Ancient City County Government Museum)

The owners were incredibly warm and welcoming. They patiently gave us directions to local attractions and even helped us with our luggage using a small cart. The environment is lovely, situated right within the ancient city, and the courtyard is very clean and well-maintained.

This guesthouse is run by an elderly couple, and they are incredibly warm and welcoming. As a solo traveler, I felt very well looked after. I arrived in the evening, and the old gentleman personally came to Xiao Nanmen (Small South Gate) to pick me up. When I left, he also escorted me back to Xiao Nanmen, making it easy for me to catch a taxi to the high-speed train station. They took great care of me during my entire stay, and I'm very grateful. Next time I visit Pingyao, I'll definitely stay with them again! 😁

The hosts, an elderly couple, were incredibly warm and genuine, making us feel right at home. My favorite part was the millet porridge the auntie made in the mornings – it was so fragrant! 😊 The location was also super convenient for exploring the ancient town, easy to get in and out. It was a wonderful stay.

The accommodation isn't on the main street but is still close to Xiaonanmen, offering a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle. The hosts are incredibly warm, friendly, and attentive. They thoughtfully provided recommendations for attractions and even prepared eggs and snacks. Highly recommend!

I genuinely want to leave a review. This stay at this guesthouse in Pingyao was absolutely worth it! The whole family running the place was incredibly welcoming. Since we had a lot of luggage, the owner and his son helped us transport it. After the owner rode his bike to drop off our bags, he had already given us clear directions to the guesthouse, but he still waited at a crossroads to guide us. We also got a discount on the 'Encore Pingyao' show through them. I have to give a huge shout-out to the owner and his wife! They were so kind and patient, not only introducing us to Pingyao Ancient City and its attractions but also personally drawing routes on a map for us. We ended up using that map for the next few days. They were always quick to help with any questions or issues. The owner's wife even thoughtfully brought us a delicious and warm breakfast in the mornings. The room was clean and tidy, and the courtyard had a fantastic atmosphere, full of warmth and charm. Our experience was excellent! It's truly rare to encounter such kind and genuine hosts when traveling. We had a very comfortable stay and will definitely choose this place again on our next trip to Pingyao!
