My stay at this hotel was just one night, but it was wonderful. The boss came and picked me up at the station, then at the end of my stay, brought me to another station with his car. I even received a bottle of vinegar as a little gift on my way out. The room was clean, spacious and cosy. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Pingyao !

Exceptional service, the owner advised and arranged day tour for me. Of course, pick up and drop off at the high speed station were greatly appreciated. I will never forget ambiance in the Chinese courtyard setting.

Wow! Just wow! I looked at this place online and I was like I totally love it and I really wanted to stay in the old city as part of the experience of going to Pingyaogucheng. The hosts were super helpful picking me up from the station communicating via the Trip/app so I didn’t have to stress about communication issues.
I stayed in a kang room just near the courtyard. It was really comfortable a little chair and table, TV (not that I used it) kettle, private bathroom. It’s really convenient to go to a lot of the central places for sightseeing and also great food and snacks.
You can try some homemade alcohol and vinegar - and yes you get a bottle of vinegar to take with you at the end of your stay.

Literally perfect.
The staff is adorable. They picked me up at the railway station and took me back the next day. The room has a big bed (futon) and includes everything that you need. You get offered multiple bottles of water and a bottle of traditional vinegar when you leave. The hotel is located in a calm area but close to the center of the ancient town. At night, the hotel lights up, it’s truly magical.
I couldn’t recommend more.

Great old feel of hotel courtyard and room. Owner picks & drop us to fro train station. Very friendly & helpful. Good food next door. Walking distance to attractions.
