Yundingxuan Hotel

The location is excellent, right in the center of Pingyao Ancient City, very close to attractions like Rishengchang and the ancient dart agency. The hotel itself is charmingly antique with a unique 'seven-entrance, seven-courtyard' layout. It's also a great spot for photos. They even upgraded us to a family room when they saw we were traveling with a child, which was a very thoughtful and kind gesture.

The room had a lot of character, and the location was very convenient. The staff, especially with the elderly, provided excellent service. Overall, a great choice for a trip.

The hotel's location is excellent, right on West Street, the main thoroughfare of Pingyao Ancient City. It's very close to core attractions like Rishengchang and the County Government Office. The hotel itself is a seven-courtyard complex, almost an attraction in its own right.

The service was excellent! They sent me the location, parking information, and directions to the hotel early in the morning. It completely fulfilled my imaginings of a Chinese courtyard.

I did my research before coming and chose this hotel. My stay here was indeed very good. First, it's not far from the Pingyao Ancient City wall, about a 10-minute walk, which is perfectly acceptable for me. Second, the hotel upgraded us to a suite, which was spacious and convenient for a family of three. It's also pet-friendly, which is a huge plus (although Shanxi province isn't generally pet-friendly, and all attractions have signs prohibiting pets, which I can understand given they are ancient artifacts). Another advantage, and I love a good shower, is that the hotel had plenty of hot water and great water pressure – a definite bonus!

The service was excellent, and the room was very clean. Since we traveled during the off-peak season, they even upgraded our room type. Very satisfied!

The experience was absolutely fantastic! Less than 30 minutes after booking the room, their staff contacted me to tell me where the parking lot was. There was even a shuttle to pick me up. After checking in, they provided a map and even gave my child a commemorative coin, which they loved! They also have very cute kittens. The room facilities were excellent too, with an ironing machine and a mini-fridge available if needed.

Excellent! It's quaint and very photogenic. The price was good, and the breakfast was quite rich. I was very satisfied with my two-night stay.

Facilities: Well-equipped Cleanliness: Always cleaned and very tidy Ambiance: Absolutely stunning for a historical visit. This is a centuries-old inn, with seven courtyards deep. Being here felt like stepping back into the glorious era when Jin merchants thrived. Service: Excellent. There are two incredibly cute kittens in the courtyard that my son absolutely adored. The owner even provided toys for playing with them. When we weren't out exploring, my son spent his time in the courtyard playing with the cats and had a wonderful time.
