Great location (bear the North gate literally two minute walk from taxi drop off) and very good value for money. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room itself felt a little older and could probably use some updating, but everything worked well and we had a comfortable stay. And a nice gift at the end of the stay! The Chinese breakfast was nice and had a good selection. There is also a Western breakfast option available for an additional 15 RMB, which is a nice choice if you prefer something more familiar. Overall, we were very happy with the stay. The location is excellent for exploring Pingyao, the hotel has a lot of traditional character, and for the price it represents very good value.

Exceeded all expectations! Clean, quiet, and conveniently located. The front desk lady was not only beautiful but also incredibly kind. She upgraded our room for free and even gave us a late checkout. Flawless in every aspect! They even gave us a souvenir! Highly recommend!

This is a traditional Shanxi-style house, conveniently located very close to the North Gate. However, the main scenic spots seem to be in the south, so renting a scooter would be handy for getting around. The plum juice at the front desk was delicious. Perhaps because we visited during the off-season, it was incredibly quiet, wonderfully quiet – I haven't experienced such peace in a long time. The room was clean, and the small bed is perfect for children, but not suitable for taller individuals.
