Yunzhi Keshe Guesthouse (Pingyao Ancient City, County Government Museum)

We booked the Kang (heated brick bed) suite and a standard twin room. The rooms aren't large, but they are fully equipped, very clean, and we had a very comfortable sleep. The owner is very accommodating and you can just let them know if you need anything.

Mr. Li, the owner, was incredibly enthusiastic. Due to the high number of guests, he directed us to a free parking lot nearby, and they came to pick us up on electric scooters. They also helped warm up our breakfast. The hospitality was exceptional; the first thing they did upon our arrival was give us a map and walk us through the main attractions and routes. This is one area that could be improved: besides the city wall, the paid attractions are open from 8 AM to 6:15 PM. We missed the Confucius Temple and the City God Temple after coming down from the city wall, leaving a bit of regret for our next visit.

The courtyard has a unique and distinctive ambiance. The room was very clean, and the owner was excellent. They picked us up before we arrived, helped with our luggage, and even gave us a bottle of vinegar when we left.

The atmosphere was amazing! Coming back at night and relaxing on the lounge chair in the courtyard was just what I needed to completely unwind. The owner was super enthusiastic and the restaurants and breakfast spots they recommended were fantastic. The room was also very clean.

The owner of Luzhuyunzi Hotel is handsome and capable, and his wife is beautiful and virtuous. The rooms are perfect for a courtyard setting and are very beautiful. Everyone can check in with confidence.

I stayed in a large 'kang' room (a heated bed common in northern China). It was my first time sleeping on a 'kang' and it was so spacious and comfortable. Although it was a bungalow, the lighting was excellent, and the curtain at the door made it very airy, giving it a nostalgic feel of my grandma's house. The old furniture might have had a slight smell, but I got used to it quickly. Overall, it was quite good, especially the little courtyard in the middle – perfect for enjoying a breeze or soaking up the sun! Great value!

Great location, very close to Xiaonanmen. The owner picked us up from the station, super friendly and welcoming. The room has an antique charm, and the courtyard retains the architectural style of the Ming and Qing dynasties with many old artifacts, giving it a real sense of history. The *kang* (heated bed) is very unique and comfortable to sleep on, clean and hygienic. I especially loved the door bolt; it was my first time seeing one in real life, very interesting. It's very close to the County Government Office, and for the evening light show, you just exit through Xiaonanmen, which is incredibly convenient.

This hotel is a protected heritage site, the former residence of a *piaohao* (draft bank) founder, so it retains its original architectural style. The doors and windows, in particular, are incredibly atmospheric, and when the lanterns light up at night, you feel instantly transported back in time. The rooms are super clean, with linens changed after every guest. My elderly parents especially loved the *kang* (heated bed-platform). Coming to Pingyao, you really need to experience this kind of unique accommodation to get the full feel. The owner is incredibly nice; he picked us up from the station and gave us tips on what to do and things to watch out for. It was a delightful trip!
