Yun Jin Cheng Residence is perfectly located on West Street, right in the heart of the ancient city, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing. The courtyard, a beautifully preserved century-old merchant mansion, exudes an antique charm with its traditional blue brick courtyards and red lanterns, creating an amazing atmosphere that's perfect for photos. The butler service was attentive and thoughtful; they proactively contacted us about our itinerary before check-in and even upgraded us for free to a New Chinese-style courtyard suite. The room was very clean, the traditional kang (heated bed) was spacious and comfortable, and the modern amenities were complete. It offers a very comfortable living experience, blending ancient architecture with modern interiors. The breakfast selection was rich and included many local Pingyao specialties; the freshly shaved knife-cut noodles were springy and delicious. The highlight, however, was the manually ground coffee, which tasted excellent and was far superior to automatic coffee machines. The hotel also has its own vinegar shop where you can sample authentic Shanxi aged vinegar. The courtyard is quiet and peaceful, offering a wonderfully relaxing retreat after exploring the ancient city. Whether you're traveling with family or friends, this is an excellent choice for accommodation in Pingyao. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Pingyao, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone!
