We highly recommend this treasure of a place. What a find!!! Gorgeous area, peaceful, a hidden secret! The host was super friendly and with the help of her phone she was able to converse with us. A beautiful property, very clean, an amazing place to totally relax.

A stay I remember, but not in a positive way. The thing is; everything is there: a lush garden, a pool, a restaurant. But the owners woefully lack the ability to accommodate their guests. The welcome was cold and businesslike, the restaurant was closed and for the owners don’t speak english and refuse to make an effort we felt very unwelcome. I do not recommend this place, but maybe that’s just me.

A mistake. That's how I would sum up my stay at this place. Owners are horribly chauvinistic, speaking no single word of English, nor trying to make their guests feeling at home. When you make a request that touches upon something they dislike, they become aggressive. The drinking behaviour of the owner does not help. We took a bottle of water into the garden for the restaurant was closed, the owners were eating in front of us and had not offered drinks (we did not even know this was a possibility for they had not welcomed us at all). When they saw the bottle of water they started shouting at us. SO RUDE! Will never come back, and nor will my friends.

Extremely unfriendly and rude hosts who seem to have their own rules in ‘hospitality’. If you don’t speak French please stay away from the place for they don’t communicatie in a different way. A shame because the place looks great. Owner likes a glass or two but honestly he shouldn’t.

Hotel Restaurant La Mandarine disappointed us during our stay. Although we had booked rooms with the expectation of a restaurant, it turned out that the restaurant was closed in the middle of the high season. What was even more frustrating was that we received this message after we had already booked the rooms, and the booking could no longer be canceled. This lack of transparency negatively impacted our experience and made it challenging to find an alternative dining option. The hotel itself had decent facilities, and the rooms were comfortable, but not being able to enjoy a meal at their restaurant was a significant letdown. Hopefully, the hotel will communicate better about such closures in the future to prevent disappointments. Unfortunately, we must add more negative aspects to our experience at Hotel Restaurant La Mandarine. Besides the disappointment of the closed restaurant, we had to deal with a very unpleasant owner. The owner was very drunk, and his behavior was extremely unprofessional and rude. This created an uncomfortable atmosphere during our stay. Despite the hotel claiming to be pet-friendly, our dog was anything but welcome. Our loyal companion had endured a long day of travel and was in need of some exercise. However, the hotel strictly prohibited us from taking our dog to the large grassy area behind the hotel, where he could have run and played. Instead, we were ordered to keep him confined in the room, which was frustrating for both us and our poor pet. All in all, the negative aspects of our stay at Hotel Restaurant La Mandarine were quite disappointing. The closed restaurant, the unpleasant owner, and the not-so-pet-friendly attitude significantly affected our experience. We sincerely hope that the hotel will make improvements in the future to offer guests a more pleasant and welcoming stay. As of now, we cannot recommend this hotel to other travelers.

This was one of the most horrifying experiences I encountered when booking a place in the Provence. We just came back from a funeral with our family with 3 kids and booked rhis place for they had a restaurant and a pool to relax after the quite turbulent day. Upon arrival the man at the property was drinking. His wife did the check in and she was very friendly, showing us the beautiful garden plus the rooms. Although we made a reservation, the restaurant was without notice closed, which was truly disappointing because we arrived late. We decided to grab some fruits for rhe kids to eat so they could have a swim. The man, violent again, started saying we could not picknick in the garden, which was truly exaggerated because we are talking about three peaches here. Then he started shouting all Dutch people were like this. In the meantime, he kept on drinking. After the swim, he started shouting at our youngest son which was terrible. We stopped him and told him to behave and act friendly for we hadn’t felt welcome at all. Then he became so aggressive that he started spitting on us. We left immediately- NEVER GOING BACK! I advise all people with kids to stay away from this beautiful but horrific place.

The pictures of a restaurant and life - nothing like what we experienced. It was very odd atmosphere. Restaurant was closed and no bar in site - after a long drive we had to then go to orange which was a little annoying - but orange is nice. The room on the website says ac - but we had a ceiling fan - it was too hot and think there should have been a stand alone one as too uncomfortable. All night long I could hear the road and a dog barked ALL night - not their fault but an obviously added issue for sleep. The pool was nice - the gardens nice - but seems so under utilised. Just seemed very sad, very much someone’s house - lad playing video games in private area - just seemed odd. For the money we stayed in a chateau which was cheaper than this. If you like rustic then this is for you. Maybe if bar and restaurant were open the rest would not have mattered.

Exceptional, cute gem of a property, with perfect cleanness, nice, relaxed atmosphere. You feel alone! You are in your little comfortable suite, ( nothing is missing!) with its own spa, on your own little patio, in front you a huge garden, the outdoor restaurant is so pretty, surrounded with vines and Provence flowers and herbs, its smells nice, the swimming pool is perfect, and Nelly is the perfect host, no less, and the food she serves!!!The imahes can't tell the whole story. We'll definitely be back!!
