Carra Beag Guest House

Stayed for 3 nights in this fantastic characterful property in lovely Pitlochry. Hosts, Mark & Helen could not be more helpful, very friendly and although we know the area well, still had plenty of recommendations. 5 star service with a smile. Accommodation itself is in a great location with parking, hearty delicious breakfast with good choice and all locally sourced to set you up for the day. Sausages in particular were so tasty. Room was good with en-suite and again lots of charm. Has a lovely recently decorated communal lounge with roaring log fire and a bar. Even had complimentary home made cake on offer. Would recommend without hesitation would definitely go back,

this place is unassumingly awesome! the owners have paid attention to every detail, the hotel is beautiful. the rooms are tastefully done, quiet and very comfortable. we stayed for three nights, it's centrally located so we were able to go to Perth and see all the castles we wanted to, and Inverness was only an hour and a half away. away. The town has many great shops and restaurants!! The owners are exceptional, there's a nice little fire in the living area where you can sit and relax. breakfast is off the hook amazing! we loved our stay here!

We stayed at Carre Beag Guest House for a long weekend and loved it. The owners have done everything right. Our room was so comfy and had so many special touches. The breakfast every morning was spectacular. The location is an easy walk to town, where there is a great selection of shops and restaurants.

The room was spacious and after me asking to move rooms they accommodated me well as I had an issue getting up step stairs as I did not read the small print. The breakfast was lovely and well cooked. The Mark was a very good host and Helen was a very good cook. They were available when you needed them highly recommended this place to stay

We chose this place by virtue of it being available and within budget, ie without much thought, but boy are we lucky we did! What a gem! Recently taken over by a really lovely couple who clearly know what they’re doing and love their jobs. The whole place was spotlessly clean and so comfortable. The rooms were well equipped with snacks, kettle, fridge, even a TV with Amazon Firestick. The breakfast was just delicious, high quality ingredients cooked perfectly. We loved that each guest gets a wee form to fill out each night to order their own specific breakfast for the next day (with no extra charges for larger quantities of each ingredient) to reduce food waste and ensure everyone gets what they want. The common area was lovely and comfy with open fireplace and a fridge full of drinks and snacks. Service was so friendly and personal. Finally the location was perfect, we left our car in the car park for the whole stay as everything is within a 5-10 minute walk but the house is far enough back from the main street that there was no noise late at night. Would recommend this place to anyone, thanks for looking after us so well and we’ll definitely be back. :)

This is my 2nd visit to Carra Beag and we were pleasantly surprised to see an upgrade of the guest house. New owners Mark and Helen were very friendly, chatty, and accommodating. Very tasty breakfast, very clean rooms with a nice touch of adding complimentary slippers, bottles water and chocolates in our room. We also had a fridge in our room. We had time to spare before our train so they let us use their cosy lounge complete with a well stacked mini bar and cosy fire. Location of the guest house is only 5 minutes walk into the main street of Pitlochry. Thanks again for your hospitality we will return and definitely recommend to family and friends.😊
