Just a fabulous cosy place to stay. Couldn’t fault anything. The staff were wonderful. We had half board and the evening meal was superb, as was the breakfast! Loved it all, roaring fires to have your happy hour drinks with. Apparently it is a short walk into town which sounded very interesting but we couldn’t tear ourselves away from the cosy lounges. Great!

This hotel is a rare find and a true example of what Scottish hospitality is all about. It is run by friendly courteous staff who make sure your stay is something to remember. Our bedroom had spectacular views over Pitlochry and the hills beyond and the public rooms were intimate spaces where drinks and canapes were served before dinner. A great space to meet and chat with other guests. The food was the highlight and something the hotel should be very proud of. Great well presented delicious dishes. We were there only two nights and the menu was completely different the second night. A choice of four starters/mains/dessert. A huge shout out to the Chef. Very much looking forward to our return visit. Knockendarroch has become our go to hotel in Scotland. See you all soon! Caroline and Iain McDonald

We enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again. It's 90 minutes to the EDI Airport so is well situated if you are winding down your time in Scotland but still want to enjoy time in the countryside before heading back home. The hotel looks exactly like what you would expect to stay in and has a nice atmosphere. The rooms are very clean and pretty. I do have a few minor things that I wish had gone better. We had been travelling all day and checked in around 6:30 pm, with a dinner reservation at 7 pm that the hotel could not adjust to give us a bit more time. On check-in, they mentioned that they had special dietary options to meet our advance request for no pork and no shellfish, but it was too much information for us to remember the details of while we were taking our bags up two flights of stairs, and when we came down for dinner, there were not any special options for us, after all (we asked but were told no). I will note that the quality of the dinner was very nice. Also, we had to leave for our travel to the airport the next morning at 7:45 am, and they do not serve breakfast until 8 am. There isn't even coffee available in the rooms (except instant) or lobby at 7:45, and our simple request for coffee before leaving was met with a no, which just did not seem very nice for a higher-end hotel. Just a few quibbles. I think they could be more accommodating and flexible to guests requests and schedules.

My wife and I stayed at the Knockendarroch Hotel May 21 for 2 nights. Breakfast was included with the price of the room. It is worth including the 3 course dinner plus canapes because the price of dinner was $50.00 for 2 people. Their dining room atmosphere is beautiful; white tablecloths, service was excellent and a gourmet chef to prepare breakfast and dinner. Nice, quaint bed and breakfast with 18 rooms in the lovely town of Pitlochry. Everything was excellent except.. I told reservations in advance that we were celebrating an anniversary and birthday and they did not offer complimentary beverages or candy which would have been a nice gesture. Unfortunately, the manager was only there when we were checking out. When I spoke to her about not supplying bars of soap and shampoo/conditioner, she said they had it upon request. When we asked the other front desk staff, they said they did not have it, which I thought was unusual for a high end bed and breakfast with a very good reputation. It is important to train all staff on how to meet the needs of their guests. Otherwise, it was an enjoyable stay. Air conditioning would be a plus. Otherwise, screens on the windows to keep the bugs out to let fresh air into the room when hot.

Stayed for a couple of nights while touring in the area and would highly recommend. A beautiful classical building just a few minutes' walk from town, with friendly, welcoming staff. Our room was spotlessly clean, and although located between the kitchen and dining room there was no noise disturbance at all. Breakfast is at a booked time, with a good choice of cooked-to-order and lighter dishes from the menu (no buffet). Dinner was exceptionally good, and guests booked so that the dining room is never crowded and service remains efficient. coffee is taken in the lounge with wonderful views over the hills. This hotel is ideal if you want a relaxing stay in a luxurious setting, and I wouldn't hesitate to book again.

This is our 18th visit to Knockendarroch House since 2010. The hotel has undergone two changes in ownership since our first visit, most recently this past winter, when the Inverlochy Group bought it from the Lothians. As far as I can tell, the new management has made only a few small changes, which improve safety around the property. For fans who return to the House, you will find much the same staff to pamper you. The rooms are still as inviting as ever and the food continues to be outstanding, witness the two AA rosettes awarded year after year. For visitors to Pitlochry looking for a first-class experience, you will not be disappointed!

Lovely hotel: super rooms, fabulous meals (breakfast and dinner), and the staff were helpful and kind. The location is perfect, just a bit above the town, with easy walking to shops, restaurants and parks. Stayed 3 nights, enjoying the nearby hiking and sites of Pitlochry, and wished we’d stayed longer!
