We came back from windmill bay today after spending 10 nights. We went for the bed and breakfast option. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly young woman who gave us a glass of champagne. We went to our room and the air conditioning was great, the balcony view was great as you could see the pool and the sea. Going to sleep there is good as the bed is comfy, there is aircon which keeps you cool and there is an electronic blind you can put down to block the sun from the balcony doors. However annoyingly we were still woken up by the sun because it came in through the bathroom window (which has no blinds or curtains) shined through the glass door, onto the huge mirror and reflected onto the bed. My biggest gripe by far was the wasps, I have never seen so many in one place. The first 3 mornings at breakfast I must of seen between 5-15 of them congregated where the fresh fruit and juice was. I hate wasps and it got to the point where I couldn't eat comfortably because they would fly around me and eventually crawl onto my food despite my best efforts to waft them away. This happened every single morning and the breakfast was average so for a few days I actually ended up skipping breakfast despite paying for it because I knew I was just going to be swarming wasps away. I didn't see hardly any in anywhere else in Argassi so the hotel clearly has a wasp problem. Also the spare sun beds to the right of the hotel on the grass were infested with them flying through the grass so we avoided that side. The prices are slightly more expensive than the town, it can be quite difficult to cross the road to get to Argassi as it's on a bend and the paths are narrow. So to summarise, the hotel is nice but has a wasp problem near the food and grass areas so be mindful of this before booking.

Family holiday, first time in Argasi & Windmill Bay hotel (we usually do self catering apartments). On arrival friendly greeting from the manager with a glass of champagne. Hotel view spectacular looking out onto the sea. First impressions good room on the 3rd floor, double balcony although it never got the sun which was disappointing. This is due to the half crescent shape of the hotel. One side gets the sun in the morning, the other side in the afternoon but rooms in the middle don’t. Room was to sleep 5 although only 3 of us. Felt if there were 5 people it would have been very crowded. Particularly as the bathroom is very small with very little space to put toiletries. Bathroom did also flood. This could be due to the drainage system. Also people sleeping in the sitting area need to walk through main bedroom to get to the bathroom, not ideal. Main bedroom & other room separated by sliding door. Some slight issues that didn’t fulfil our expectations, main issue with wasps in the hotel, although we never had a problem in any of the restaurants in Argasi. Hotel didn’t seem to have any citronella candies or any outside hanging deterrents. Now & again they would bring out burnt coffee which was worse than the wasps buzzing about. The area where the loungers are at the pool needs to be looked at. Grass very poor. Mostly mud. For this standard of hotel would expect artificial grass which would look aesthetically pleasing with less maintenance. Rooms cleaned every day, although one day we weren’t left enough towels. All staff in the hotel are friendly. Hotel pricey for drinks & food. Disappointed when ordered a mocktail for my son, at the bar. Small plastic cup filled with crushed ice, whole lime in it, very little juice in it, €7! Also after an evening sunset cruise trip, returned to the hotel at 10.15pm. Ordered my son chicken nuggets & chips which stated they came with tomato ketchup & mayo. On arrival they weren’t included. With a hotel of this standard it’s the small details that count & matter. Main issue is where the hit is situated. Right on a bad bend on the road. The road is busy & can be tricky to cross into the side that has a narrow pavement. Argasi isn’t big & once you have walked a few times that’s it. Bread places to eat, Apollos, Serenity, Zorbas, Syrtaki & Zinc. Avoid Come to the Grill. Skyfall lovely for food & cocktails. Wouldn’t go back to hotel or Argasi due to personal preference.

I arrived for a weeks holiday, it had been over 20 years since I was last in Greece and this was the first time as a solo traveler. Check in was smooth after arriving quite late. Rooms are beautiful with fantastic power shower and complimentary toiletries. The bed was so comfy and I slept amazing for the whole week. It could be the swimming in the lovely pool or the sea daily too! Water is so clear and was so refreshing, I loved dipping in and out all day when it got too hot. The buffet breakfast had a brilliant selection to cater for all tastes. I ate a couple of times for lunch and the tuna sandwich was my favorite. Also a huge selection and variety of drinks.. the Aprol Spritz were so refreshing and always made with a smile from the lady working during the day. (Sorry cant remember her name) she always greeted me every morning with a Good Morning. I ate in the hotel restaurant on the Sat night and wow what an experience, it had been busy and as I wanted to sit at the waters edge , I grabbed a drink and the waiter came and then seated me, the food was incredible and with watching the sun setting is a memory I will always cherish. I also ate every night at the many restaurants in Agassi, again always made welcome and never felt uncomfortable with being solo diner. The Green Frog had a fab band the night I went in. I wish I could have stayed longer as it was such a relaxing time spent chilling by the pool, no music or water arobics going on!!, a nice vibe . I also chatted with some lovely people , so thank you the couple from Neterlands & the Mum and daughter from Austria, also closer to home the ladies from Glasgow. I am now thinking of rebooking for next year, a stunning clean hotel with amazing views and friendly helpful staff. 5 stars from me

Fantastic break in May 2025. Hotel is clean and as always in Greece everyone is helpful and welcoming. Only slight downside were the breakfasts (we went B&B). Edible but basic. However the pool is fine, plenty of sunbeds and the town is within easy reach. Thoroughly recommend.

This hotel has to be one of the best we have stayed in Greece. Very luxurious rooms and the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. Breakfast was excellent, hot and cold choices, lots of fruit and fresh bread. A strong contender for next year.

Windmill Bay Hotel Amazing stay June 2025 You can expect an amazing stay at the Windmill Bay, we went early June and just wished we had booked for longer, everything from the accommodation, food quality, cleanliness and friendly staff was first class, the pool area was spotless and the water temperature just perfect no shivering on the side, just walk straight in, and just down a few steps and you are in the sea perfect. Another thing worth mentioning is the Al a carte restaurant in the evening a little expensive but well worth it the food was excellent, and the setting wonderful, outside with views of Zante Town by night across the bay. The hotels location was very good about a 10-15 minute stroll into Argassi center where there are restaurants and shops in abundance, and be sure to take a ride into Zante Town on the road fun train. We had only one problem in our suite (309) that was with the shower that flooded the bathroom on every use, we reported this on the first day, but it was not rectified. Read more
