I've just returned from a week's stay at the White Suites, and overall, I had a fantastic time. It's a smaller boutique hotel, which means you experience a more personal touch than the larger neighbouring hotels. We got greeted on arrival and offered water or Prosecco whilst we checked in, we decided to stay half board, which meant anything outside of breakfast and dinner we could sign to our rooms. This proved to be a good decision. All inclusive would have been an extra £250pp and in the end, I only charged €68 to my room and spent another €85 out and about. A member of staff carried our bags to our rooms, we both had a suite each and had paid extra for a pool view. The suites were incredibly spacious with a bedroom, bathroom, and large lounge area, and 2 TVs, which had a good range of English channels on. The rooms are air conditioned with a temperature that is controlled centrally to adhere to rules adopted across parts of Spain due to spiralling energy costs & consumption. I personally didn't find this a problem, and the room was cool across the week. All rooms are either ground or first floor, the ground floor pool view rooms all have a terrace and the upper floor rooms like ours had a spacious balcony with a table, two chairs and a sun lounger (minus a topper, read on further down regarding sun loungers) The hotel is beautifully landscaped, containing a range of trees and plants, all of which got well maintained during our stay. The pool area consists of 2 pools. Unfortunately, neither felt heated (probably another energy saver), but it was a great place to take a quick dip as long as you didn't stay in too long. The sunbeds themselves were very plush, as each contained a great mattress type topper that made them super comfortable. The toppers have a leather like waterproof coating, which means they get super hot, so you need to beach towels to cover them. Each room gets 2 beach towels to use, as my friend and I had a room each, we used those. However, those sharing a room could use one plus their own beach towel on the beds. The hotel has a sunbed policy regarding leaving your bed unattended, but I have to say, I didn't see much evidence of it being adhered to with guests going off for several hours at a time, leaving towels on the beds for their return. There is a life guard on duty who was happy to get out further beds if required, and it was never the case that we couldn't get a bed. The restaurant is really well laid out with tables both inside & out. There was a variety of food on offer laid out in a buffet style. As a gluten-free traveller, it was great to see a specialised breakfast section, which included gluten-free bread, cakes & and cereal, as well as lactose free options too. However, outside of this, it was hard to distinguish at both breakfast and dinner, which foods were safe to eat, which meant sticking to safe choices for my entire stay as staff never appeared 100% sure. There was no allergy free section of an evening. W
