Staff All hotel staff were very friendly, from reception to the dining room. Jude at reception was especially welcoming, chatty and helpful throughout our stay. In the exclusive lounge, Max stood out for always engaging with guests, keeping drinks topped up and keeping the area tidy. Pool While some guests reserved sunbeds early, staff were proactive in managing this by placing timed notices and checking regularly. There were usually spare sunbeds available by midday. Entertainment The hotel offers a good variety of daily activities—yoga, live music, water polo, and more. The foam party was a standout, with great music, a conga line and inflatables adding to the fun. Room The room was modern and clean and included a chiller with drinks (due to exclusive option). We chose a pool-view room on the sunny side, which offered a fantastic view over Las Americas and of the entertainment at Café del Mar. Breakfast & Dinner Breakfast featured a wide selection of hot and cold items, constantly replenished. Dinner also offered variety, including made-to-order dishes like pasta and steak. Desserts changed nightly—waffles, cakes, and more—so there was always something new to try. Exclusive Lounge (photos attached) A great range of self-serve spirits and mixers, plus light snacks like fruit, yogurt, cakes, bread, and cold meats. The staff were friendly and attentive, always clearing tables and restocking. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Tenerife. Everything is run to a high standard, and the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome.

A Very Disappointing Experience at Tigotan Friends and Lovers, Tenerife This is only our second day here at Tigotan Friends and Lovers in Tenerife, and I feel compelled to share my experience because, honestly, it has been upsetting and frustrating. After reading reviews, we thought we had found the perfect place, but today's events have completely changed that. We decided to book two sunbeds by the Infinity Pool for the day. However, in order to reserve the sunbeds, you’re required to purchase a drinks package. As non-drinkers, the only available option for us was the €25 “package” – which, we assumed, would be a credit towards drinks. Unfortunately, the whole process was not explained clearly at all. We arrived at the beds around 10:30 am, hoping to order some water. The only person around was the lifeguard, who told us he’d send someone over because it was table service. He did, but after that, there was no service for about an hour. At that point, we decided to go to the bar ourselves, where we were asked if we were on the drinks package. We said yes, and they took our room number. We ordered two drinks—a water and a ginger beer. We then went for a walk around the hotel around 1:30 pm, and when we returned at just before 4 pm, we went back to the rooftop to use the remaining credit we had. However, there was no staff around at all, including no lifeguard. I walked to the bar again, but the floor was so hot from the sun that I couldn’t stand at the bar for long, so I called a staff member over. When the staff member arrived, I requested two mocktails. I also mentioned that I was really disappointed in the service, as the drinks were supposed to be table service, but I had to keep finding staff. She went to the bar and returned with our drinks about 5 minutes later. However, shortly after receiving the mocktails, the lifeguard, bartender, and another barmaid came over to us. They informed us that mocktails are not included in the package and that we could either have 6 soft drinks or 4 mocktails, but not a combination of both. I was caught off guard and told them that no one had explained this to us. The staff member was quite annoyed, and at that point, I asked twice if they could please not confront us in front of others—it was embarrassing. Despite my request, they continued with the confrontation. What made the situation even worse was that several other guests who were sitting around us expressed how unnecessary and uncomfortable the confrontation was. They could see how embarrassing it was for us, and many of them agreed that the way I was spoken to was not acceptable. It’s hard to believe that this could happen in a hotel of this supposed standard. I then decided to go down to guest services to sort the issue out, but as I walked towards the stairs, the staff member walked past me without offering to help. He then told me, “No! I’ll get them to come up!” I went back to the sunbeds, still in shock, as I couldn’t believe this was h

Now already 8 weeks back from Tigotan. Very nice reception by Guest Relations and Sr Javier Gomez and by Anna on 16 January for a 15 days stay. Very happy that they assigned us our preferred suite. Room was good, except some ‘sloppiness’: First day shower pressure was not good. Fixed quickly. At first television did not function well. Could not be fixed directly and totally. A day later: temporary solution. The 4th day 2 technicians put a new ‘cable’. Later we still missed some channels. Was fixed soon by ‘expert’ Carlos. Bathroom: magnifying mirror still too high… I had brought my own again. Shelfs very narrow. In general: happy with the room, especially with our terrace. We noticed that around 11h00 most (sunny) sunbeds at poolterrace were ‘reserved’... Very good that notes were put at sunbeds where towels were put early. Good have been more strict. Breakfast: was rather okay. A pity that not every morning there were ‘croissants integral’, around 10 a.m. Sugar free jam only pre-packaged in small cups Dinner: unfortunately food was not always warm enough, except fresh baked/made meat, fish a.s.o. Even oriental part did not stay warm, and almost every day the same. Final week containers of raw vegetables were sometimes (almost) empty around 20h45 and not supplemented. After about 8-9 days, it appears that the buffet variation could have been some what greater. In general: food seemed to have deteriorated somewhat compared to last year, in terms of quality, diversity and attention. Because of reduction of purchasing costs? Restaurant Santa Rosa: nothing changed: we think it is not very refined. Big portions and not all ingredients were written on the menu. Our waiter Mustafa still friendly! We appreciated the Exclusieve lounge (had Half Board Exclusive), not some English ‘ladies’ who put alcholic drinks in their waterbottles… We went to the ‘hall bar’ after dinner. Some – live - music was very (or far too) loud; did not like that, but it was nice for an after dinner drink (short stay). Two times we had a question for GEX / Reception, but could hardly communicate: not hear them, nor could they hear/understand us. We like to mention staff: Lina and Mansour (GEX). Restaurant & bar & excl. lounge: first of all: Lorena and Lucille! Also Giorgia, Max and Lidia. Kitchen/cooks: Abdul, Brahim and Kyllian. And our nice chambermaid Anyi. In spite of some - constructive - critical comments, we have enjoyed our stay very much! Staff has a great, positive influence to that. But mainly: our suite. We consider returning February 2026! Probably around 3 weeks then, hoping buffet quality will be improved…

Just got back from staying at this hotel and it’s fab! We had the best time. This hotel is better than some 5* that we’ve stayed in. Staff lovely, hotel clean, rooms lovely. The roof top bar and pool is amazing with great views over Tenerife. Get a room with a pool view defo worth paying the extra. We will be returning soon!
