Villa Mandi Golf Resort

Nice enough hotel had a good holiday with the kids however the all inclusive had a lot of added extras and the food was very repetitive. The cleaner wasn’t very good the floor wasn’t mopped not enough towels were left and one day the beds weren’t even made. The night entertainment no one went to it wasn’t very good however the magician was ok. The clientele seemed a little rough around the edges however overall we had a good holiday there’s plenty to do locally and the views of the golf course are nice. Would I return? No but would I change the booking if I’d already booked it? Also no it’s just ok.

Villa Mandi has such a charming vibe—lovely decor, spacious rooms, and lush green surroundings that really make you feel like you’re in a tropical oasis. So why not 5 stars? Well… let’s talk about the beds. Picture this: a rock-hard mattress wrapped in crinkly plastic, no top sheet to save the day, and bonus points—mystery blood spots. Yup, not exactly the stuff of dreams. As for the pillow? It was one of those long ones but with no proper cover, so you’re basically sharing it with everyone who’s ever stayed there. Not the kind of bonding experience I was looking for. The pool bar had its quirks too—you couldn’t pay with a card, and if you tried to go to the main bar to sort it out, you’d get turned away unless fully dressed (bye-bye bikini). Honestly, it was easier (and more relaxing) to just grab a cold beer from your own fridge and enjoy it poolside. Great setting, but a few tweaks could really take this place to the next level!

We have just returned today from this wonderful hotel. It’s small and quiet, although you may get disturbed in the morning by rubbish collection at the front of the hotel. Any issues we had were resolved straight away, noisy bed was replaced within half an hour of us reporting it to reception. Rooms are spacious, we were all inclusive but our room had a large bedroom, lounge area, kitchen and bathroom. Cleaned every day with regular bedding changes. Our lovely balcony overlooked the pool. All rooms are within a few minutes walk to the pool and dining area. Plenty of beds and umbrellas, this is often my complaint as I need shade. There’s a safe in the room but you have to pay, six days was €13.25. Also pool towels have to be paid for, we took our own anyway. We were disappointed not to have our drinks in a glass, I hate drinking out of plastic especially in the evenings. I understand having to use plastic or card cups by the pool but not in the bars. There are a lot of steps around the hotel so if you are of a certain age and struggle with steps I would go elsewhere. There is a lift and ramps. If you have babies or small children you will love this hotel, all the kids had a great time. Plenty of fun time for little ones. One heated pool. Two other pools. Suggest the sound system is improved as you can’t hear at the far end of the pool what the entertainment team are saying. Also pool towels should be included in the price with a card issued. The hotel provided a free bus every day into Las Américas and adventure park. We used this quite often. Easy walk into Las Americas and Cristianos. I had some delicious food and done average food, I enjoyed it all. Best steak I’ve had, I requested my usual and the chef made it. Loved all the fish and salads. Cereal could be better quality. Loved the bread. Thank you to the staff in the restaurant, beautiful happy people always made us welcome. Big shout out for Leanne! A little more service would be nice, ie tea or coffee brought to you. Evening entertainment was fun but needs modernising, acts were a bit dated, again we still enjoyed them. If I was going to suggest anything I would say get rid of the self catering at this hotel. Overall this hotel is for those who want quiet relaxed space, teenagers will not be entertained here. Small families will love it. We had a great week. I won the pool Bingo !

Checked in as planned. Upon going to the bedroom I noticed the chair had blood on it. Upon looking further the full room was just grotty. Went to the reception and moved to the room next door. When I went into this room the TV didn’t work. The kitchen cabinet was warped. There was holes in the bedroom wall. There was no sheets on the sofa bed which wasn’t ideal as there were 4 of us. Then closed the curtain to see a cockroach so back to the reception. Where I was handed a tin of some sort of repellent and asked to take it back when I was done. We were then moved again the next morning. This room took 4 hours to be ready and it had been scrubbed from top to bottom, which was great but again it’s not really good standards that it takes 3 rooms to get a clean one. Was offered a complimentary buffet ordered a soft drink which wasn’t included in the complimentary the tumbler was filthy. Then a few days later no hot water was coming through so called reception and someone came up and just as they came up the hot water started working where I got a courtesy call from reception who said ‘oh yeah the repairman said the problem is you can’t work a tap’ as if I was the issue. During these complaints the manager never as much as contacted us. Also upon saying to the receptionist about the wall being crumbled her reply was oh yeah these things happen there’s not really much I can do about that. Felt more like the staff and management didn’t want to help.

Room : 3 out of 5 - clean & comfortable, holes in bedding & 5 cockroaches in the week Pool area - 3.5 out of 5 - decent size & always sunbeds available, daytime entertainment ok - staff always wanting to engage Restaurant: Food 1 out of 5 - breakfast ok , lunch/dinner limited choice & when it’s gone it’s gone - staff here have one pace and look disinterested Bar Service- 2 out of 5 , again staff have one pace 🐌, even with a queue and quite ignorant Evening Entertainment 3 out of 5 - kids Disco was disjointed however the Entertainment lady ( blonde) worked tirelessly (5 out of 5) & our granddaughter was entertained, the Parrot 🦜 show was also a great show Reception 4 out of 5 - always very nice and helpful Overall: staff need to realise about customer service and remember that without Guests they won’t have a job
