We were in the Caledonia Park for a week 12 - 19 may. My husband and I travelled with our 2 young children and another family. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. The hotel staff were friendly as were the ents team (Chris & Johnny) The holiday rep was always on hand and very helpful as were the staff. I thought the restaurant was spotlessly clean and the staff were friendly and efficient. Our room was very spacioius, basic but hey you dont spend much time in it do you? kitchen area there too which was redundant due to all inclusive but handy if you want to take your own tea bags. We thought the food was really not too bad at all, and we did not have to pay for going up more than once as other reviewers have stated. (my husband had 2-3 platefulls of everything)! And he is quite fussy so it shows it wasn't that bad. Plenty of choice and chips included most meals which suited my daughter. Chips always available in the snack bar too as was ice-cream, hot dogs, pizza, toasties. The evening entertainment wasn't all that but we didn't feel the need to venture too far outside, the kids enjoyed it on the dance floor with the mini -disco anyway. There were a couple of pubs just around the corner with TV screens to watch the footie. Toby Jug I think it was called. There was also a bar on the upper floor with no entertainment if you just wanted a quiet drink or to chat away from the noise. The pool area was great. Big, plenty of beds and umbrellas, and plenty of room. there was a day time kids club which got the kids out of the sun for an hour or two mid day, and water polo games if you wanted to join in, also a small outside play area for kids. We were a bit dubious after reading some reviews but all in all I thought it was an excellent holiday for the price we paid and I would be happy to reccommend this hotel to anyone and I would be happy to go back there again.
