My experience at HM Ayron Park Hotel was mixed and, overall, disappointing given the expectations.
From the start, things did not go smoothly as the phone in the room was not working, which made it inconvenient to contact reception when needed. While this may seem minor, it set the tone for the stay.
I was also surprised by the late checkout policy. In many five-star hotels, complimentary late checkout is offered, especially during the off-season and when occupancy is low. In this case, late checkout was chargeable despite the hotel not appearing to be busy, which felt unnecessary and out of line with comparable hotels.
On a positive note, the breakfast was good and met expectations in terms of quality and variety.
However, the biggest issue was the staff. Their attitude and level of service did not reflect what one would expect from a hotel of this standard. Interactions felt unhelpful and lacking in professionalism, which significantly impacted the overall experience.
With better staff training and a more guest-focused approach, this hotel could improve considerably, but based on this stay, it did not live up to its rating.
