HD Parque Cristobal Gran Canaria

We travel a lot around the world, but this is the first resort we can truly call not just excellent, but perfect for families with kids. We stayed with our 2.5-year-old son and had an amazing experience. There are several pools, playgrounds, slides, and endless activities — kids are entertained all the time! Our room with a terrace was great, clean, and very comfortable. The food was excellent with plenty of variety — even if you miss lunch, there’s always a brunch option. The same goes for drinks – lots to choose from and everything is easily available. What really stood out for us was the animation team – such a fun, young, and energetic group! Whether at the pool, the bar, the kids club, or the main stage, they brought so much joy. Along with Laura, Sofia, and Alice, Omar was by far the most entertaining and unforgettable part of the team. Spent 12 days here and it was fantastic. Facilities were excellent, food really good,always a wide range on offer. The Power up team including Angel and Vida, were great, the offered plenty of activities for the children and adults inside and outside the pool. Highly recommended and would definitely come back again.

First impressions were not great when we arrived because we had to find our bungalow in absolute darkness, it was really badly lit and we had luggage, pushchair and toddler. The map reception gave us was not helpful because it was dark and we couldn’t see anything. The rest of the stay was really good, loads of sunbathing, swimming in the pool, good food and great staff, especially kids entertainment team. The only downside was the ants in the kitchen and really really bad water pressure in the shower. Also, when we went to the sports bar to ask if they are showing Eurobasket finall ( 14 September) we were to told no it is not available because football is on. Even though the bar was completely EMPTY with 7-8 tvs all over the place and no one was watching anything. What kind of sports bar is it then?

This resort is definitely beautiful and had a nice array of amenities. There are 2 pools and 2 restaurants, a gym and spa. (There is also a kids play centre if needed). There’s tennis courts, a football court, pool tables and table tennis tables. The rooms themselves are little bungalows, which are in pairs. These are very nice, if just a little bit dusty (this is not the hotels fault, this is just the air there). These pools are nice (lots of kids) and the staff have regular fun sessions (games, dances etc…) In the evenings, they play bingo and various other shows are put on. Some good ones for kids too. The only negative I have to note is the food. The labelling and layout of the food at the all include and little lunch restaurants was very disappointing. Food was mislabelled most of the time, if labelled at all. It was very unclear what was vegetarian and what was not. In fact, as a full vegetarian family, all we ate during our time here was potato’s and pasta. Even the margarita pizza apparently had fish!! (We only found this out on the 2nd day as this was the first time we found a label). In terms of dieting restrictions, I would really think about this resort. If you are happy to have a stable diet of potatoes and pasta, go for it! But please bear in mind that the labels on the food items are really difficult to interpret and often times the staff themselves did not understand dietary restrictions. The team themselves were very helpful and kind and we have no complaints! I just really wish food was better here, it would have made this holiday even better.

In July we were lucky enough to stay at HD Parque Cristobal Gran Canaria for 10 days and honestly had the best time. From the minute we arrived, everyone made us feel really welcome and at ease. The animation team deserves a special mention – Monica, Omar, Via and Carmina were absolute stars. They’re so warm and genuine, and they had a way of making us feel like part of the family rather than just guests. Our daughter, Makaela, adored them (she’s already asking when we can go back!). Monica and Omar in particular brought so much energy to everything they did, and you could really see how much effort goes into the kids’ club, daily activities, and then the shows at night. It can’t be easy juggling it all, but they make it look effortless. The bar staff were also brilliant – Nico, Eduardo and Dani worked flat out but were always cheerful and up for a bit of banter. They made our evenings really enjoyable, and it honestly felt a bit sad saying goodbye at the end. Another highlight for us was how good everyone was with our daughter. She was included in everything, and nothing ever seemed too much trouble. It made the whole trip so much more relaxing. A little shout-out as well to Marco at the Italian restaurant, who was great with the gluten-free options and made sure we were well looked after. The place itself is spotless, the rooms are comfortable, and the facilities are spot on. All in all, it was a memorable family holiday, and we’re already looking forward to the next visit.

Just came back after spending 2 weeks her with my teenage daughter. We stayed B&B in a one bedroom bungalow with a sofa bed which was very spacious and clean. The ladies who clean them work so hard and very friendly especially the lady called Mari Carmen. Our bungalow was number 166 which was a couple of minutes walk to the shop and pool and our opinion was a perfect location. All the rest of the staff and entertainment team were also nice and helpful. The pools and grounds are very well looked after which was a credit to the hotel. There is a lot of sun loungers but I did notice a lot was taken up early without people turning up until late. We had breakfast every day and it was very nice with lots to choose from. We didn't see much of the entertainment because we went out every night but what we seen of it looked alright. In my opinion I think the hotel is more catered for families with younger children more than older kids but don't let that put you off if you fancy trying it. Location isn't that bad with the local bus stop about a 5 minute walk and other restaurants about 10/ 15 minutes walk. It was our first time in Gran Canaria and would definitely recommend it.
