A very basic 2 star hotel. Only decent meal was breakfast, dinner at night very questinable. Parts of hotel look like a building site, exposed pipes and wires. Room was clean and tidy but for a deluxe room, only had one soft chair. Nothing else to indicate this was a deluxe room. Very disappointing and will certainly not recommend it to anyone

We did stay at Corona Roja apartments for 12 nights. We just come back 2 days ago. I did not expect much but certainly the view was beautiful and even sis managed to have a slight view of the beach from the balcony on the 4th floor. Unfortunately the bedding wasn't changed at all in the past 1w day's of our stay and 2 days nobody did appear to take the bins out, to sweap the floor or to change the towels that was supposed to be done as per check in information received when arriving. We have had 2 young children with us 5 and 7 of the age they both are autistic, ADHD, SPD.... And they did enjoy the waterpark for the 5 times we managed to go there. Overall the apartment was okay and we did concentrate on the activities not where we are staying and how many starts. Also the food was various choices for yhe half board it was okay. The beach was so so close it was a bonus for us it felt like locatio6was perfect for everything to reach easily just getting to the waterpark we did took taxi and back as well otherwise we would lose out on the time. There is a local free bus to get to the waterpark but it would steal our time like I've said. The water park attractions is open only 10 am until 4:30 pm. The pool was freezing cold and did smell of chlorine very heavily. Make sure that you shower after using it straight away! My children dod enjoy the beach far much better than that cold pool. The staff was polite and kind and understanding towards our children's needs and behaviour.

Been visiting for years and as they say you get what you pay for however its 100 times better than what to expect for the price. Staff are amazing namely kay and jose in the restaurant and bar. There is always lots of food choice my fave being the stews. Meat always so tender. We had a refurbished room again and they are great. And over the years never had issues and infact it just keeps getting better qnd better and still not breaking the bank. Location is great the perfect base to explore the gorgeous island

Right so I thought I would leave an honest balanced review of our week stay here. All too often you read reviews who seem harsh and people sometimes try and expect a 5* experience while paying 3* money. When booking I thought I'd booked 3* but it turns out it was 2* something I'd never experienced before. So I was a bit worried about what we were walking into. When we arrived got to reception the staff member seemed friendly and signed us in. It seemed clean but a little bit tatty in places. We were on the third floor and our room was clean tidy spacious fairly modern but with one or two imperfections. The beds were comfortable enough. We have a balcony looking out onto the street which was big enough and comfortable enough. The meals well breakfast was ok you had sausages scrambled egg beans as well as continental stuff fruit juices teas and coffee all delivered by machine. Not the best breakfast you would hope for but eatable and a ok start to the day. Lunch for me was the best meal of the day with basic stuff for some of hamburgers and hotdogs plus more continental choices from pizza stews and other foods. There was also a range of salads all different and creative. Fruit also was on offer. Evening meal probably the worst of all three in our opinion not great and didn't really make me want to make that my choice so we are out for this more than stayed in. Could be better. Drinks house drinks were on offer for all inclusive local bears local spirits and cocktails delivered via a machine there were a bit too syrup like but they were doable. The pool area and sunbathing area also ok alot of sub loungers which were placed to attract the sun and a pool which was clean it was not used that much but it was fine. The atmosphere in the hotel was quite quiet not full of fun but most people just do their own thing . So there was no entertainment however on the price you don't pay for it. Staff were great rooms were clean a specific number of times a week all which is great within the price budget. So overall a good experience especially for the price I paid flights a week all inclusive board for under 1k seems a steal to me so we were happy with it. Don't come here expecting the world as you haven't paid it . It would be good for families on a budget who want to get away but don't have a bottomless pit of money then location is great with the beach a couple minutes away a bus service which takes you around the island and to many tourist areas and towns. Close to the Irish bars and the kasbah centre and all the other entertainment areas are easy to get to via bus or taxi at a rate of a few Euros. The cita centre and yumbo centre are 5 to 6 euros in a taxi on the bus it's 1.40. The beach is fine with designated areas for designated tastes. Family beaches naturist beaches *** beaches so if your on the prude side or have kids you many need to watch where your walking to.

I had a very disappointing experience at Corona Roja. I unfortunately suffered food poisoning during my stay, which I reported to staff. However, my concerns were not taken seriously. The staff were rude, dismissive, and showed a complete lack of professionalism. No action was taken to address the issue or support me, which made an already unpleasant situation much worse. I would not recommend staying here based on my experience.

Spent a week here 7th-14th March 2026 all inclusive I think the bad reviews are very harsh for price paid this was by far the cheapest AI accommodation in this area we found Our room was modern & clean & we had a hairdryer in the bathroom & didn’t have to pay for tv usage which had English channels Food was good on the whole especially breakfast & lunch & a great choice of AI drinks on offer Staff were helpful & friendly from reception to bar/dining room staff they even put ITV on in the bar so we could watch Cheltenham races I would say the only small gripe we had was the pool area could be cleaner & the pool warmer was literally impossible to take a swim 🥶

If you are looking for somewhere that is solely a base this is the hotel for you. Stayed in a deluxe room which had a lovely view. Cleaning carried out regularly. Food was majorly lacking with breakfast being the best offering per day. It would be nice to see some modernisation happening as the bar, restaurant and reception area are very dated
