A very tired old lady of a grand hotel. Not surprising post Covid and time required for these hotel chains to recover! I went full board which is defiantly the way to go. Definitely more of a family friendly hotel. Still in the early days of my trip, I need to figure out how to get around to see the sights - public transport is severely lacking!

I was concerned about some reviews I’d read on here - but was VERY happily surprised! Yes, some aspects of the hotel were a little ‘tired’ but this did not affect the holiday & it was fabulous! My friend & I needed a chill and this did not disappoint. Highlights: Huge rooms Stunning views Clean Plentiful food & drinks Sunbeds always available Choice of pools (never too busy) Beautiful sandy beach Big hotel & lots of choice of areas (I.e. some busier than others - but lots of quieter areas) Friendly staff Fabulous cleaners (a new towel ‘sculpture’ each day!) Massage/wellness spa Some areas which could be even better: Some sunbeds are a bit uncomfortable & worn At times it can be a bit noisy (but easy to avoid!) Not suitable for those with mobility issues (lift not reliable & lots of steps to beach) Quite remote - we were happy in the hotel but if you want sightseeing this may not be the perfect location

I went along with my wife and young son and was taken back by the distance of this hotel from the airport. The shuttle bus took approximately 2 hours. This was my first visit to Feurteventura. I was surprised by how sparse the island is with large areas of mountains surrounded by nothing. It was a chilly 6C in the UK and we dressed up wearing heavy coats and sweaters. Google told us the temperature all week would be 18C. It turned out to be 22C-26C so we found we hadn't brought enough hot weather clothing. It wasn't too bad though as we wore a T-shirt washed it and it dried quickly ready to wear again. Check in was quick and easy and we took two cards to the hotel room. We were just in time for dinner so we left our bags in the room and made our way to the restaurant. Only one of the lifts was working so this single lift was serving all 8 floors. It took forever for the lift to arrive and tbh it was quicker to use the stairs and go down a few flights of stairs. The restaurant itself was good with a large variety of food and drink. I'm not a food critic but some of the vegetables were not cooked enough and the pizzas were burnt and chewy. Other dishes were great especially the lasagna and the desserts. The workers in the restaurant were hardworking and friendly clearing tables removing empty dishes. My son dropped his drink and someone came over quickly mopped the floor and changed the table cloth while directing us to another table without being judgemental or making a fuss. The weather was great and the view from my hotel window was gorgeous. The room was baking hot and we found the air conditioning didn't work. I contacted reception who said I must be mistaken and it takes a little time for the Aircon to kick in. Still nothing after an hour so I contacted reception again who sent someone up after 40 minutes to check it. He confirmed it was dead and would inform reception. I went down to reception saying the room was too hot and we couldn't stay there. She told us nothing else was available till the following day. We slept with the window open and the cool sea breeze blowing in and got bitten to death by mosquitoes. It wasn't till about 2pm the following day we were given a new room. The view was on par with the other room. The Aircon worked but not very well. The fridge wasn't great either. It was empty as well not even containing any water. I asked where I could get water and was told there were vending machines and a shop on the 4th floor. There is no kettle provided so you can't make yourself a cuppa in the middle of the night. We quickly started to do exactly what other guests were doing in refilling empty bottles with water at meal times. There was a safe in the wardrobe but no code was provided to us but we didn't need to use it anyway. The TV worked well with mainly German channels though it did have BBC News and Disney. It is not a smart TV so no YouTube or the like. No access to the HDMI so you can't use something like a fire stic

When reading the reviews I was hesitant at what to expect. I found the location and the views from the hotel absolutely beautiful. The beach was very close with steps down that was really lovely and we swimmed in the sea most days. The hotel itself needs a lot of work. Our room was clean and sufficient for our stay, unfortunately the last day the shower door dropped and smashed all over the bathroom with glass everywhere. I went to reception but was told there wasn't anything they could do as it was quite late. I requested a broom so I could clear the area so we could use the toilet. I was disappointed that no apology or even asking if we were ok as if we would have been in there it would have resulted in a bad injury. That said the staff at the hotel were all very nice. The animation team were fabulous. The food was good mostly all week. The pool area needs cleaning daily, this doesn't seem to happen and would help a lot. The near by town is great with good restaurants. We met some lovely people and everyone was friendly so as a family we felt safe. Please invest in this hotel to bring it back to its former glory as it really is a breathtaking location.

Lovely Staff with an amazing beautiful beach on its door step. The buffet is great and if you can't be bothered to get changed for lunch you can have a meal on the swimming pool bar. It's not as big as the main restaurant but descent. Room very clean and spacious

Can't believe some of the previous reviews on here about this hotel. "Avoid, Rats, Cockroaches, Rude Staff etc" Came home yesterday 28th March, after a delightful week's stay at this hotel. We did not witness any of the previous complaint reviews. We didn't witness or see any rats, cocktoaches, or face any rude staff at this hotel, infact we witnessed the complete opposite. Our room was spotlessly clean, serviced every day with clean towels that were made into different animal shapes, eg, an aardvark, elephant, etc. There was a huge variety of food to suit everybody, with fish, chicken, pork and the steak was fantastic. Meatballs, Beef Stew, plenty of Mediterranean vegetables, and a large selection of salads. The all-inclusive drinks selection with help yourself beer and wine, and a large variety of spirits and cocktails. The bar staff were fantastic and would go out of their way to do anything for you. Some previous posted reviews complained that the reception staff were rude. Please disregard these statements. We found the reception staff to be very nice, helpful and kind and supplied us with loads of information about the hotel and the surrounding area. If you wanted bus information, or order a taxi, they did I'd prompt for you. There are 98 steps down to a beautiful beach (not 500 steps as one review mentioned). We walked around 6 miles along the beach to the beautiful town of Marro Jable, which has loads of restaurants, with both designer and tourist shops. Marro Jable has some of the most beautiful sandy beaches I've ever seen. The only minor faults we can comment on were that one of the two lifts did not work, but the one lift held 18 persons at a time and was no problem. We did have an issue when we hired a "Room Safe" that cost us 47e, 27e hire and 20e deposit. We had to wait 3 days for an engineer to come and set the safe up, but when he did, the safe did not work, we reported it to reception and they refunded us the money and we're very apologetic for the inconvenience. The pool area is kept very clean with plenty of sunbeds for everyone. Please, please ignore the negative reviews given for this hotel, yes everyone is entitled to their own views, if you like the sound of this hotel, then please go for it, there is simply no pleasing some people.

If you want cheap and cheerful and your usual standards are not that high then you’ll have a good time.. Let’s start with the positives: Stunning beach, gorgeous sand dunes right next to the hotel, big ✅ Two nice big pools (although we did find glass in it) Good daytime activities for the kids Negatives: Food was below par, I ended up eating chips and bread most of the week. Hotel was really run down, lots of things broken, public toilets dirty, one lift was permanently out of order the other lift had a mind of its own, took forever to come and always went to random floors, reception staff overworked, stressed and rude, key cards frequently stopped working despite not being near our phones (which clears them) Broken glass around the pool area, smell of manure lingering around the pool area, sunbeds old and dirty, pool towels costs 10 Euros each to hire.!! WiFi sketchy Rooms clean but defo not 4* I personally wouldn’t return, but if you get a really good deal and your used to cheap holidays you’ll probably have a nice time

To say this was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in is an understatement. The staff were sexiest, racist, rude and not professional at all. The resort had cigarette buts strewn all over the place and filthy sun loungers rubbish, wires broken doors and just pure neglect. It was so bad had to get a flight home halfway through our holiday. Hope no families have to experience what my family did and be out of pocket like mine after a traumatic awful holiday. Please see photographs of what it really looks like as opposed to the false advertising.
